Germany is 3-0 in games going to the "4th period" in this tournament. It is understandable that Canada was afraid.

I am so surprised how hockey is popular on TL. Almost the only sport under discussion here

ya, its been fun to watch.
GO GERMANY GO ! ! !

The Germany vs Sweden and Germany vs Canada games were pretty exciting to watch. Russia will be extremely hard though. I hope it will be another close match even if Russia wins.

the women play at a 15 year old boy level.. or midget-AAA i'd say. its also great fun to watch. the Canadian girl who removed her silver medal in anger had to issue an apology. that is sad. let the woman have her emotions of the moment without constantly micro analyzing every 2 seconds of behaviour. the canadian women can be proud of what they accomplished.

Sure, if you want to tell me one.

i have a relative who played in the NHL for 2 contracts. His body was so beat up he went to Germany to play where its not as rough. He re-wrote the record book in the German league... banged dozens of girls every year.... made a tonne of cash... retired from playing hockey and stayed in germany for 1 more year of partying and girls.
after making several million playing hockey for 15 years he returned to Canada with $0 and had to sleep on my dad's couch and live in his place rent free for 8 weeks to get himself a job and a bit of cash. he moved out like 2 months later.
he has some great stories about the female hockey fans in Germany.

That's a nice story indeed. I didn't even know you can make several millions playing hockey in Germany.

i think he made ~400K a year. He had a $40,000 watch and a $200,000 car. its all gone now. it was weird he was always the "cool uncle" and watching him play hockey or playing with him i was always ... "wow i can't even do that in my dreams"... then to see him on my dad's couch. it was an eye opener.

thing with sluts is they bang anyone :p

I enjoyed watching the 2nd half of the Curling final between USA and Sweden. Congrats USA, the five-ender killed the Swedes.

a russian curler failed his drug test and the russian team was stripped of its bronze medal.
everyone around here knows the best place to get steroids is at the local curling club.

But apparently the canadien hockey federation ask the hockey announcer in Pyeongchang, himself a French-Canadian which is kind of weird but whatever, to intentionally mispronounce the names of French-Canadians players names to make them sound like english names. uhhh, no. this is just stirring up shit where there is nothing. its also a bunch of francophones looking to be offended. Derek Roy wants his last name pronounced the way he says his last name. He says his last name like "Roy Halladay" or "Roy Thomson" Derek Roy does not say his name the way we say Patrick Roy's last name.
anyhow, that's what's going on.
if you are aware of my french last name i'll tell you it has been getting mangled by anglophones since i was 5. i got over it by the time i was 7. it still gets mangled regularly to this day... whatever man.
