Hey guys.
Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section.
I have a new router, and i can't create games/have good latency.
when i go use a port checker online for 6112 or 6119, it says the port is closed.
i already went to 192.168.1.1 to configure my router to allow connections both TCP and UDP on port 6112, disabled my Windows 10 firewall, and nothing seems to be working.
i remember back in the day reading somewhere i'd have to do telnet to open the ports manually or something.
can you guys help me? i have fiber optics from Vodafone (Portugal), 200/20 Mbps, the router is a Huwaei HG8247Q, it serves as a ONT+router, so it's the only device.
please help!!

Try hosting a game on battle net and see if it gives you the "this connection is routing through a proxy" message. Online port checkers don't work well in my experience.

Usually you have to open the port per specific to the device you want to open the port on (for example : your default gateway or modems IP is 192.168.1.1, the computer you are opening the port for may be 192.168.1.3 or .4 or .5 or whatever it may be, it should tell you in the Modems firmware / settings page under connected devices what the IP of your computer is that you want to forward the port for.
If you opened the ports 6112 through 6119 and you are still having issues, you can use the IP of the computer you are trying to port forward to as a DMZ, but this isn't recommended as it will allow ANY connections to come through, although as a last ditch effort, that usually fixes any game hosting issues.
I hope this helps.

EDIT: I can't read, apologies ignore the below, but not if you need to know how to do this (leaving for future advice)!
If you want to know what the IP address of your computer is and your gateway (router) type in cmd in the start menu and open command prompt.
IPv4 address is your PC address Default Gateway is the router
You want to port forward to your computers IP address.

You want to port forward to your computers IP address. Also, when you open CMD, you will have to type in ' ipconfig ' to get this info, I think Qikz forgot to mention that most likely.

For checking if ports are open, I found a neat little app called "Simple Port Tester".
It's important to note that some routers assign different IP to your PC every time it connects. Thus if router is 192.168.1.1 and you PC gets 192.168.1.10, maybe next time you restart your PC it will get 192.168.1.11, and the your port forwarding settings are wrong. This happens to me, so every time I'm about to play bw, i just check it with the simple port tester, and if needed, adjust my forwarding.

Thanks for all the help so far.
i've downloaded that "Simple Port Tester", and it showed OK for UDP 6112 but NOT OK for TCP 6112, is it normal ?
thanks in advance
