#1 Leonard's health #2 Nick Nurse's in-game resource management. He is a rookie head coach. Is Nick Nurse as smart as Brad Stevens or as short-sighted as Tom Thibodeau? or somewhere in between? We won't really know until the season begins. Another aspect that makes Nurse a big mystery is that this is the first time Ujiri has hired a head coach. Question mark #2 is Kawhi Leonard's thigh injury. We won't really know if he is 100% until he has to go through real NBA games in an unforgiving schedule. If Nick Nurse turns out to be an above average coach and Leonard returns to his playoff MVP form then the Raptors are going to the NBA finals. If not, it'll be Boston. i think Boston and Toronto are a reasonable threat against Golden State in the west. I'd say Golden State would be 3 to 1 favourites to win the title against either team; i think that's approximately what the Las Vegas odds are right now in a Toronto/Golden-State and a Boston/Golden State match up.

I also could see the heat or pistons winning east but honestly let’s be realistic any east team is gonna get rolled by either the lakers, spurs, warriors, or mavs, or rockets. All those teams would be 1 seeds if they were eastern teams.

BS Technical against Kevin Love for disagreeing with a foul call.... NBA players are not robots.. Love protested the foul call in a very dignified, controlled way. Leonard did a post game interview with Raptors national broadcaster TSN. Looks like he is coming out of his shell.

They finally make Derozan the point guard.. and surprise. surprise... they cut through the Pistons defense like a hot knife through butter. Between Joseph, Wright and Vanvleet i'm not sure who is Curly, which one is Larry.. and who is Moe. Just make Derozan the starting point guard and call it a day.

But pairing him with Leonard? That could work.

Also, is there a more likable guy in the NBA than Boban?

Also probably less able to "explode" if needed. interestingly, Lowry is more explosive now than he was 5 years ago. he is probably on the same amazing and magical "diet and exercise plan" Lebron James and Roger Clemens went on in their early 30s. Looking at how Lowry's body has changed it really is a credit to his dedication to "diet and exercise"

Ingram gets 4. Rondo gets 3. Paul gets 2. if this were hockey Paul would get 5. Rondo would get 5 and 2. And Igram would get 2 , 5, and a game misconduct.

He has a pretty nice situation, though: A team with no expectations that has some talent. I will never complain about holding people to higher standards.
