English is not my first language. I learned colloquial english by watching sports and talking about sports. Sports talk is not exactly the greatest pedagogical vehicle. The idea that you're hiding behind a language barrier is laughable. I suppose you think this is some absurdist joke. My point was that you used on-court performance as proof of toughness, while I think general character is a better standard.

does Thibs need to be on a 10 year deal to have a long term view? On November 09 2018 02:14 Jerubaal wrote: The idea that you're hiding behind a language barrier is laughable. It's obvious that different players have different levels of competitive drive, professionalism and willingness to work. But I don't see how this is specific to today's game. yep, i agree. Larry Robinson (70s) and Alexander Daigle (90s) both had the "soft" label in junior hockey. The coming of age moment for Wayne Gretzky occurred in 1983 when he openly admitted his team was soft. some guys step up and take it to the next level.. some don't. that is a timeless theme in sports.

"they are dancing in the streets in Belgrade!" https://streamable.com/c25md Its nice to see this guy succeed as a starter. I always thought he was under appreciated and under used in Minnesota. speaking of Steph Curry, On November 10 2018 07:35 cLutZ wrote: Strained groins are the worst. They never heal. I had one that lasted for like a whole fall. i think if scar tissue forms over the damaged soft tissue structure it takes a lot longer to fully heal. scar tissue is a lot less flexible. i'm not sure if an MRI can detect the presence of scar tissue. This is why 1 guy can strain his groin and be ready to roll in 3 days and another guy can strain his groin and he is battling it for months... its the presence or absence of scar tissue that makes a big difference.

I'm actually not even sure the deal looks bad knowing we could have gotten Covington and Saric instead. Lavine and Dunn are useless to me and Lauri is maybe injured forever.
