First 3 games of the night amazing. Then last sucked the fun out of it lol. Still a great night and a great job by the casters too!

Yes. I really hope he gets knocked out in the Round of 8. There was a very lukewarm applause for him in the studio today. People were actually cheering at Snow when he got up and walked out during Last's winner's interview. It makes me sad that Snow got knocked out after that game vs SoulKey. That takes something away from the legend of the game.
But wow, that crowd was excited about Calm!

A nice bunch of non standard games. Snow's reaver was a hero and that game was a clinic.
Who thought Last would cheese twice in a row...not snow apparently. The snow/Sk, Last/SK matches could have very easily gone differently if a unit here or there if a unit gets picked off. Even the Last/Snow match was exciting for the first half (probe drill almost got snow back into it)

I was yelling at the screen for snow to build a shield battery. I know we have all the knowledge in the world as viewers, but man if he just had one up towards the back much early it would have done wonders. Instead his zealots got so low before the bio push.

This set of games was, to put it mildly, greatly entertaining. I do not care who wins what, I just watch for the fun of the games and those were spectacular.

Best group I ever watched

man soulkey fucked that game up horribly

incredible games, that SK/Last game tho... soulkey theoretically should've been fine with the hatch, but in practice it's so difficult to hold that.
so sad for snow

I swear Soulkey deserved it, wtf this late pool was for
|
Did SK just actually forget to make a pool, or did he purposefully delay it? Game 4 was the only game tonight where 1 player seemed to make a huge mistake. Damn SK was IMO favored to win the whole tournament too. Game 5 was really fun to watch, good on Last for keeping the pressure on after his first push up the ramp failed.
Super impressed with Calm, hopefully he keeps bringing his A game. But you can tell his late-game management in zvt is just awful still, his macro and multi-tasking really slipped and almost let Last get back in the game near the end. His win over Snow was super clean though.

Excellent games overall. Some real wtf moments. Sad Snow got knocked out after showcasing such a strong game vs Soulkey but I'm happy that Clam got through.

He took a gamble thinking he could expand before pool anyway, imo totally unnecessary since 7 rax puts the terran way behind automatically, just 12 pool into anything and gg

Yeah, SK greed knocked him out. What I don't understand is the rax placement. Pretty guaranteed to be scouted-- all I can figure is intentional pressure from Last hoping to get a mistake. Too bad Snow couldn't make it out, but dang, I'm thrilled for Calm.

Insane group, GGs! But I can't believe how greedy that was for Soulkey to not make 12 pool after scouting proxy rax... that was such a free win.

I wanna be mad at Last... but that was some god awful responses to cheese by both Soulkey and Snow.
Why go hatch first instead of 12 pool? What, he thought last was just gonna head home with all those SCVs? Baffled.
And why, WHY?! Even go nexus first on a map that Terrans can’t win a macro game on anyways? Just go gate into 6 dragoon into 3base rever/carriers? What’s Last gonna do? 2base push against the best rever user in history? Good luck with that.
But then, after he scouted the rush, held of the building of the bunker on the high ground, he just... blew it. Like after that there was literally no way for Last to come back from that EXEPT for doubling down on cheese! The only thing at that point you needed to assure victory is to BUILD A FREAKING SHEILD BATTERY OR FORGE! Game over from there.
You could see how pissed both Soulkey and Snow were, and in the winners interview you could tell Last just wanted to shrink away. He felt the heat of anger from the crowd and basically said “Sorry, I’ll play better next time”.
That being said, it’s not Lasts fault he won; That’s on both Soulkey and Snow

Officially a Last anti-fan now. Hope he gets crushed in the Ro.8. Two stupid cheesy games that knock out players on the caliber of Soulkey and Snow. What a shame.

I still love Last so fuck it

I was actually speechless when I saw Snow send his probes to the natural as a first reaction, like wtf? Honestly terrible response, delayed his eco massively.
Tbh just a normal 2 gate range goon build should have stopped the m&m, high ground is too much and it's not like they can attack the expansion.
