Results for April 1 – April 14, 2011
Greetings and welcome to International Tournament Roundup! Sick of wading through countless threads, posts, and articles looking for recent SC2 tournament results? The TeamLiquid International Tournament Roundup is the one-stop shop for all of your tournament result needs, and it's coming to you twice each and every month.
Don't be fooled, the GSL is great, but there's a massive amount of talent outside of Korea. Foreign juggernauts are battling it out in epic games, and in epic tournaments, on a daily basis. After all, our boys have more than proven that they can compete.
Who's the current top dog outside of Korea?
Please note that if an event is not listed, it is likely because it either didn't make the prizemoney cutoff, didn't conclude within this period, or results were simply not properly recorded in public view by tournament administration. Thanks!

Total Prizemoney: ~$57,205 USD (+ Prizes!)
Top Dog
There's a ton of powerhouses outside of Korea, but who's this edition's top dog? Let's take a look at which players have posted the most impressive results over the past 2 weeks.
Note: This isn't a prize-money or medals ranking, but instead based upon overall player performance.
+ Show Spoiler [Honorable Mentions] +
White-Ra !!
Although he only shows a 2nd place Dreamhack finish in this compilation, I think we can all agree that White-Ra deserves a mention for his performance at Dreamhack. The 'Beast from the East' went undefeated on his way to the final, and he managed to take the first two games off of the seemingly unbeatable MC before he rallied back. Despite this, White-Ra is the one of the VERY few players who has been able to make MC look like a mortal man.
Minigun !!
This player's name has been thrown around a lot lately, especially after taking down the 'Success Pays Invitational' a short while back, but his skill has really shown through these past couple weeks. The showmatch machine, Minigun took part in 3 showmatches, winning each and every one of them, taking down quality players CrunCher, ViBE, and Kyhol.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$250 USD
Nerchio !!
Last edition's bronze medalist, Nerchio once again proved that he's a force to be reckoned with. Taking down a Gamecreds Cup, and just narrowly escaping the top slot in a Sennheiser Cup, a 4pl.de Cup, and a Competo Cup, this player barely missed out on retaking the 3rd place slot in this ranking.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$285 USD
Third
+ Show Spoiler [Third] +
ClouD !!
Everyone's favorite cookie monster continues to show improved performance as of late. He stole a Sennheiser Cup, almost snatched a competitive Go4SC2 EU Cup, and was gloriously cheesed out of the finals of the massively overlooked Ultimate Gaming Championship.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$1,745 USD
Runner-Up
+ Show Spoiler [Runner-Up] +
Kas !!
Having once again showed the most medals, Kas sits comfortably in our second slot. He continues to be the true king of online events, smashing through the Go4SC2 March final, the GCPL Individual tournament, and a GameCreds Cup. In addition to these dominating performances, he also placed 2nd in a Sennheiser Cup. Kas is certainly showing he's not a one-trick pony, and I have no doubt that we'll continue to see him up here in the next few editions.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$1,355 USD
Top Dog
+ Show Spoiler [The Top Dog] +
NaNiwa !!
Unless you're living under a rock, you know that NaNiwa won MLG Dallas. While he's not listed elsewhere in this edition, this performance alone warrants this distinction. This man absolutely demolished every single player in his path, and we're not talking just your standard demolition. We're talking absolute total unadulterated 'hide your kids and hide your wife' mass destruction. The Godzilla-like NaNiwa made his way to the finals with a flawless record of 22-0. In the final, a seriously game opponent in KiWiKaKi managed to take two games off of him before falling to perhaps one of the most impressive LAN runs of all time. NaNiwa is without a doubt, the Top Dog.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$5,000 USD
Medal Podium
Note: Only players with multiple non-showmatch podium appearances are included.
