i hope there's space to falsify the age/marriage correlation. i am always telling ninazerg she's not my daughter and it keeps up the tension.

I heard that spoilers effectively increase ur mental age on tl by acting as filters, preventing full immersion in the community

That would explain my missus, we've been together nine years and she's a teacher too. Thus far I've managed to get away without any serious marriage discussions!

I'm 27, and I don't think I'm too old for TL. I'm too old for parts of TL (all those design/balance threads regarding HotS or LotV where everyone turns OFF their brain and goes full bias/whine/passive aggressive), but there are other parts of TL I still enjoy.
Edit: also congrats to all the married/future married people in the thread. And Lichter is right, TL has been severely lacking girl blogs lately.

also, given your age and your moderation history, how do you feel being constantly schooled by a bunch of kids with made up internet power?

So happy if this thread becomes the "engagement thread" (someone should do such a thread! so I can make this link color text a real link). <3
I candidly think it is weird that no one but me would bring up / want to theorize about "too old to be on tl". Since tl's axiom is to be "liquid", its members/content meant / bound to fluctuate ; furthermore those might need to fluctuate for tl to better thrive / survive? What if us "oldies" are holding tl back?
'ppsk, I like everyone by default, besides the pbu s#it that will still come out of me (I hope less and less), I try to be friendly and yet useful in my posts. I hoped it showed and that I am actually better understood. Thing is, as you must agree, typing conveys only so much (it often allows for subjective interpretation and moreover misunderstandings). So I went through several typing ways to "exist" on tl. My most recent incarnation seems to survive, I take that as progress (?)!
To be clear, the spoiler era started from me loving the ability to hide extra content that would disallow any misconception / misunderstanding to take place from reading my s#it (trying to be as precise as possible while leaving the "original sentence" as I wanted it ; meaning people would read without opening them, then go see what I meant more precisely by this "x" word or that "y" expression). Then it went overboard and no I could care less about not being "allowed" to do any further ones. I think I helped see how this coding function is awesome and should not be restricted to "game results" "plot spoilers" etc. not to mention but I had no idea at the time that it would drive mobile users crazy, sorry my bad!
My life story would bore you in typing form, but the diva barely hidden in me thanks you for asking. I was 8 when the little frog I was then taught himself 'murican english in a maryland public high school. My genius of a mum saved my older brother by taking us there, he had been fighting the french educational system from day 1. He had never been catered to (slightly dyslexic, colorblind and over passionate / bored with the classes etc). Just to give you an idea, my idol (my bro) cut classes when he was 16 to go follow classes in uni making huge amount of "absence notes" himself for school reps unbeknownst to my parents. At 18 he got auto and moto licenses in two weeks (both!!!), he built half a dozen guitars himself <3, he got the boat license he could get (again colorblind / f-uck rules) and he would deserve to be able to fly planes alone but he can't. , he is the awesomest dude in the universe but the 1990ies world could not really attune to him! Not to worry, now he is in computers and he can be the one to tell them how "s#it is supposed to happen / be.
I am a dreamer, have written and drawn stories since I could (5 for the painting, never stopped will never stop! ; 8 for the stories because I had just engrossed myself in comic books when I "discovered" them in the u s of a (in france at the time (still now somewhat) comic books were looked down upon), my earlier experience with them having been constant fighting with my father "why you waste your time with that s#it" kinda rhetoric. So you could say my F U attitude stems from somewhere there So yes! I am one of these guys who always is looking to "go further", go "too far" "scratch that itch" "be that guy".
I went to sell my paintings and got the "come back in 10 years". I got close to being an actor (rapped on baudelaire on tape, f ck! I hope that one never gets online ahahahahaha).. but I got sick of the audition process. not to mention I felt most people in there are shallow as can be and I admit I can't relate nor survive with those people.
I got jobs in video editing and set dressing (tv mostly and a little movies), two arguably different fields (with both universes not understanding / rejecting me for my attachments to both) that I loved.
When I got old enough I made my short movie (have been watching movies, collecting them, studying them for 25 years +). As you can imagine I botched it ahahahahahaha, but I did teach myself all that this curtails / entails which was my goal. It is online if you want :tease:
I had always made games and sc editors were great, mostly because they are but also because there were people playing your maps that were unknown to you and that felt so hip that I couldn't resist / will never resist, I started another map for my kid yesterday
To get money, I did do the steady employee bit when my first kid was born (f_ck employers who think you doing your best for their company in spite of the lack of support you get from them is "normal"), which f cked up my eyesight somewhat. It made them loads of money / quality media outlets and now I'm too expensive or vocal for my own f cken good so I had to leave instead of continuing to get them results while I lost 200 hours+ a month on their useless app. :pjsalt:
Now I do animations for kids, I re transcript videos for subtitling / video editing etc
To get to dream, I am in the process (10 year process) of launching my own comic book magazine and filming the pilot of my tv series ...
Not to mention it but I wouldn't have survived all this without my wonderful life partner (gf for 15 years now 10 year wife) who, among other things has blessed me with two kids and I am now peter pan for them instead of for myself. An experience which I find transcendentally awesome as well as always and forever new and surprising and of course challenging.
ps: Sorry for making you feel old ppsk.
Edit: sorry for edits .. I humbly suppose waiting a dozen of minutes after my posting before reading would help but .. I'd be wrong

Could we have a staff "stat" on how old posters do post? Not "how" but whatever stat are indeed "available"
how: no details available: one would have to have done coding for it available: one could want to not divulge such info 4% hype!
