Haha. :D Destructible rocks are a Gimmick, but they themselves do not make the difference you describe. /comparison. I'm glad you enjoy watching this ancient game-relic of the past with us.

The four players board the private jet Blizzard has leased to bring them to blizzcon. They take their seats and the plane takes off, flying towards Blizzard HQ. The four progamers are chatting amicably when a man strides in from cockpit of the plane. He is tall, clad in black and wearing a plain white mask. The four pros fall silent as the man clears his throat. He speaks in soft, silbant tones. “Welcome to this humble jet, courtesy of my employers, the mighty Activision. I’m sure you will find this trip to be most… persuasive.” Jangbi interrupts “wait, who are you? What are you doing here?” The man chuckles, his laugh made all the more eerie by the muffling effect of the mask. “My name is unimportant, you can call me Mr.Frost if you wish. Let’s just say I represent the interests of Activision-Blizzard, and I am here to make you an offer. An offer you won’t be able to refuse.” He pauses a second for dramatic flair. “You see, we have determined that the ancient relic of broodwar must die, and you will be the ones to kill it.” The four progamers break into shocked gasps “Never!” they shout in unison, all speaking indignant. The man simply lifts a hand and waits for the outraged men to fall silent “As I said, the offer I am going to make you is irresistible. Now, I could offer you money and power, yet you already have that and more. I could offer you fame and glory, yet you have all attained that already. So, I won’t offer you any of that, instead, I will offer you something more, something lesser men have only aspired to. I offer you immortality, I offer you the ability to defeat flash, I offer you the ability to transcend your mortal bodies and become something greater. Of course you could turn me down, refuse my offer, and find how far the power of my associates extends, find yourself and everything you love shattered into pieces. The choice is yours, take me up on my offer, accept cerebral extraction and become part of the Ultimate Gamer, the machine man hybrid that will first rule E-sports with an iron fist, and the eventually the world, or refuse and discover just how far the tendrils of Activision stretch” “Which will it be?” The jet will touch down at Blizzard HQ 12 hours later,

I think that's better than rocks...because it at least adds some map flavor other than a big gigantic block of rocks that just so happens to be forming RIGHT where your command center/nexus/hatchery needs to be.

D rock + Worker Pathing (glitch) = Win I remember Bisu lost to Flash once like this when Flash sneak into his base and barrack+bunker at the cliff over the main mineral line.

anyways regardless. Lets see what happens. I think it may be the bw HD remix which would essentially be bw with better res' and better graphics. I think it would target the mass market of the Koreans and china. I don't see them playing sc2 tbh. They have reputations to think about.

I didn't say anything about what they are going to do or what is out the question or not at all. Just pointed out the unlikelihood of some last minute phone call intervention from Kespa as portrayed in the post that I quoted.

In fact if Blizzard invite any of current good SC2 pros as opponent, I will expect an roflstomp. SC1 and SC2 are fundamentally different RTS and I never understood why people think pro's skill will have perfect conversion rate; especially when one of their greatest weapons - mechanics - have less significance. Yes, there are tactical experience (which I guess is more important because from MLG I gander single engagement can be the game-decider) but those come over time. Also I knew BW trolls were going to flame SC2 and take away our already rather debatable "moral superiority", heh. ALL of the very top sc2 players were mediocre in brood war. Yes, top brood war pros had unbelievable mechanics, but why people think that that took away from the level of strategical thinking required to play brood war is beyond me. Flash is well-known for not having the best mechanics; he instead possesses an incredibly good RTS-mind.

Some Koreans spread rumors that Tossgirl was super-gosu at SC2 so Chinese players would drop out of the tournament rather than risk losing to Tossgirl, which is amazing that it worked. She didn't actually play. BW pros playing SC2 for show without KeSPA caring indicates that Blizz did something to sweeten KeSPA's mood (like fund the 8th team) On October 19 2011 02:47 DeepElemBlues wrote: why would blizzard invite them to try to "bring" them to sc2 when bw is still lucrative for blizzard in south korea Pro BW isn't lucrative for Blizzard. (Activision sucks!) Blizz: And they're playing BW showmatches and/or appearing at a panel BW Fans: Yay! Blizz: And since they're here, let's also have them play HOTS, for fun. What do you guys think of it? BW Pros: Enh. It's okay. Blizz: I'm sorry, we left the mic off. What do you guys think of HOTS, the game funded by the same people who are also now funding a BW team and keeping you employed? BW: Everyone on earth should buy Starcraft 2. That's my prediction
