He started playing SCII though and stopped playing BW. This is him playing BW after playing SCII (think he stopped SCII, not sure).

His last stream date was http://www.twitch.tv/whitera/c/4313134, he does some arcade stuff as well as actual games. He's also quite active on his Facebook page!

The sick plays at 12:20 and then the STORM I confess to squealing quite loudly when all the drones popped

I think BW is only more popular than SC2 in Korea, because the establishment is already there (no paying $60 per copy, many pros are used to BW and continue to play it), and because everyone over there plays League of Legends anyway In Europe and North America SC2 dwarfs the first in tournaments/viewers. Still hasn't helped us any against the remaining Koreans though xD

For finals of SSL9, I remember hearing there were at least 34k on the Korean stream which doesn't include any chinese or TL streams (several thousand here). We were looking at least 40k minimum I would say and BW is really popular in China (after WCIII I think). There's supposed to be another Chinese BW tournament coming up according to Scan as well (last one was popular I believe). You're probably right in terms of players in EU/NA but I think in KR and probably china, I think there's likely more. Amount of tournaments, BW is getting quite a bit lately. I mean, we've seen SRT, SSL, BW heat, Love's tourney, PL for a while (not keeping up with this) etc... Quite a bit though they aren't all at once so ya, I think SCII still has the edge there

lets see whether sc2 can still even retain its popularity after another 11 years before you can even compare it with bw. bw is still in top 10-20 of pcbang rankings with sc2 nowhere in sight. the fact that bw is still played and streamed on korea and by other foreign players after so long proves its legacy as a fine superior rts game. if lotv is as shitty as usual sc2 would disappear within a few years flat.
