wow, i had thought that the whole thing would blow over with some fines and a few scripted apologies. being sent to jail when you are barely in your twenties is a nightmarish scenario - though i was as pissed as any other sc fan about the scandal, i can't help but be bothered by the sentence.
edit: does anyone know anything about south korea's prison system? how are the conditions and are reduced sentences common for good behavior?

sangho is innocent and retired due to the scandal . Recently he was planning to become SC2 programer upmagic is ban from kespa also planning to enter the SC2 Scene.
This is why i wanted to know what happened to them.

Though I'm deeply saddened by your actions, MJY, I will always remember the good times. You will be destroyed in 2011.

Hope the nice watch and shoes were worth it.

Rofl that's exactly what I thought after seeing so many progamers in jail. Boxer made a team for the military, Savior is gonna make a team for the players in jail.
On topic. 1+ years is really harsh omg
In western countries isn't it what you get when driving under the influence ? I mean they almost destroyed the BW pro scene, but they didn't threaten directly any human life.

My username... is forever tainted. Savior was the first player I noticed and took a liking to when I was introduced to the BW scene.

I haven't been following this issue very closely, so I'm curious, why is it Savior gets jai time when Upmagic is free to enter other progaming scenes?
I'll be surprised if any pro team decides to trust any of these guys...

locked TL banner represents Savior's jail sentence. When 1 year 6 months pass horses are gonna come back.

Ogogo was sent to prison? For what?
Loved his play early in the scene during his WCG (2004?) run. Everyone thought ogogo was gonna be the next big thing but turned out to be a total bust.

lol wow. Wonder if Savior is going to learn how to micro his anus

Upmagic hasn't been sentenced (yet at least), and even if he does get time, it will be a lot less than Savior, because Savior brokered match fixing for other players, he deserves what he gets.

I will say it again.. this is probably "on parole". i can't image that one guy with his first trouble with law gets a 1 year sentence.. thats not very likely at all

haha, in western society for driving under influence you get a warning and 2 more chances before they revoke your license, THEN send you to jail.

FFFFFFFF T___T ah wellllllll not too surprised at this point..
lol Shinhwa was invovled in this too ??? LOL .. he hasn't been around in ages!

Ah, poor guys. They should have been send to work from morning till evening, but jail for 1+ years...nah.
|
This feels really harsh to me. I was never that upset about the match-fixing. Disappointed, but I would never dream of jail time for it.
|
Never thought they'd be sent to jail. Seems really harsh but I guess they deserved it.

I thought the rumour that Upmagic was joining sc2 was officially denied by estro and Artosis might have gotten in trouble for the interview he did? I dunno, it was in one of those odd and ends news Milkis does, and nobody really said anything about what happened about it.

They all got summary charged without a trial. They had the right to request one, like go.go did but apparently go.go got shut down in the court in 5 minutes by the judge.
Basically everyone not on that list that were involved got a fine/banned from KeSPA, and I don't think they'll ever able to do anything esports related
