Posting yet-to-be-aired match spoilers (from a day in advance) is a bannable offense. - Jibba 0:11 KST |

Remember, aside for a few players, most of China has only had access to SC2 for a month and a half or so.

China is very particular about what is in the games that are released in their country. I am not too surprised about it.
But as previously noted its a MOD, so ignore what I say haha.

The chinese have the same work ethic and dedication that the koreans do.
It's only a matter of time til we see a lot more refined play from them.
Currently it looks similar to what SC2 did ~9 months ago... a lot of 1 base all-inny plays.
Should evolve in no time though.

Depends on the level of interest in SC 2 there. If there's no interest, there won't be many great players.
|
As someone who is moving to China very shortly, this is extremely relevant to my interests. A good chance to get in on the ground floor of SCII in China?
Pro-gamer incoming!
EDIT: The other important thing to note is that it's not quite as easy for people in China to stream events from all around the world as it is in many other countries, so they probably haven't been able to see the most current strategies.

Amazed there aren't more viewers for this, the quality of these games is pretty high. Certainly higher than IEM.
|
Wow the skill disparity of these games are kinda sad

The mod that enhances team colors is awful.. it's so distracting when you're trying to watch. Anyone agree?

Haven't noticed it really, not even after I found out that there is the modding.
|
Is it because of some of the campaign undertones that they didn't have access to it for so long?

Also, the caster, orb, is colour-blind, so he has great difficulty seeing the colours (especially in mirror match-ups) without the mod.

ohhhh that explains alot didnt know he was color-blind. Hm guess it's not so bad.

Hmmm... are the liquidpedia entries updated before the games are played?? I am really confused lol
|
Props to Orb, it's refreshing to hear a caster be actually critical of players during the game.

Man, so low standard on some of theese games...

Yea one thing I have learned from this tournament is the skill difference between the top 10 Chinese players and all the rest is quite quite large. Cause if you watch Lovett, Lovecd, Loner, etc you will see some top level play.
|
Loner playing now, and he aint impressing me at all :\
|
Not particularly impressed with even the big names. Seem like only a couple of them would make a dent in GSL for instance. Kind of bad decisionmaking, not expanding when they are in a situation to do so, running armies into storms, stimmed marines or whatever.
|
Chinese Protoss are good though somewhat "behind the curve" so to speak with regards to builds, Chinese Zergs are mediocre (XiGua doesn't impress me at all, tbh), and Chinese Terrans are very weak, IMHO. Ahhh, how I wish xiaOt were still playing.
I do have faith in the Chinese scene, though. They'll break out sooner or later, just like they did in WC3.
