Might I suggest you require a video in the application, if you're interested in being careful about what kind of personalities you want to be mingling together. Also, thank you so much for your contributions. Damn I wish i was rich ;; Edit: The only "downside" is that the majority of people who are interested would have to probably move far away from home. Though I'm sure some would like moving far away! @OP: Might you include more information on how much you expect of the players and such (do they have a "trial period", how you gauge improvement, etc), so as to lessen the amount of applications that don't interest you ^^ I feel like this is a very big thing, I'm sure you can handle it, but I hope it all goes smoothly. Just in case you might want to get some legal shit like contracts going on, but you may have already considered that.

Make sure any contracts are very clear, get a lawyer to look at them, and make sure you fulfil all obligations under that contract no matter what happens. Almost all new team efforts end up in drama over who didn't pay whom and who promised whom what. You said enthusiasm is the key criteria. That is appropriate for a fun project, but would players who wish to make a career out of this really go for that? You should consider both a player's marketability and performance when making a decision. There are few foreign players with the ability to place highly at notable tournaments, and even fewer have ever progressed from being outside that group to inside. Truly developing players from unknowns to winners is rare to nonexistent, so consider your strategy carefully.

post some pics of the house, location, or at least explain why you are wealthy so that you could afford to basically just support players.

Perhaps he has family or friends or a job that he would have to give up to go there? Its not like he's just going for a visit he has to live there. Also OP added a picture of his house that's just taken off of google maps, do you not have a single picture of the house that you have taken in your time there? This is like the shadiest proposition and nobody has ever heard of you before. You're going to need to provide more evidence. edit: wasn't fast enough fro blade55555

He hasn't been there for awhile and is going in April to clean it up. He has no up to date pictures of it and even if he did go now to take pictures it would probably look below average. Seeing as how he's waiting until April to actually go clean it up and then make final decisions afterwards, I wouldn't say he's rushing into it and making things seem as sketchy. Everyone wants to be a skeptic because this is a dream situation for a player that wants a comforting practice environment, and there's been a lot of drama over past things that have happened. I don't blame you guys for being cautious, but take a step off of him and let's see what he actually does before we go and make assumptions?

Not that I rule TL, but I think you open threads way too casually. Hope you come back on April 20th in better shape. Sad that I actually missed the original OP.
