I had this crazy thought during the scene with Jordan and Emily that she is somehow the "leader" of the rapegroup. The way he talked to her seemed odd. I dont know, its probably total BS but maybe someone thought the same ;P
I srsly hope that Deb or Quinn will discover Dexters secret and be OK with it. But if I look back at the previous seasons, noone ever survived knowing, so I have actually no idea how it could end .. and thats cool
Liddy manages to waltz into police HQ and borrow some top-of-the-line surveillance equipment with nothing more than a forged signature on a piece of paper, from a clerk who has never seen him before? Is it really that easy? If Quinn needed that shit, why didn't he get it himself? You'd think that lady would at least pick up a phone.
Liddy is/was a Police guy too, and why shouldn't she give him that stuff ? He had a legit document and its not something strange if someone gets some fancy stuff i guess.
How the HELL did Deb and Quinn miss the kill room when they were in that house? They saw the guy's car in the driveway, shouldn't they have search every inch of that house until they found him? The door is like, directly attached to the living room. I don't understand.
+ Show Spoiler +They were in the wrong house. Dexter and Lumen were in the house next to it, thats why they never found them.
|
You have to understand that the reason why Deb & Quinn did not find Dexter and Lumen
+ Show Spoiler +They didn't actually use his house as the kill room, they used the adjacent house that was for sale.
Other then that, Lumen is slowly growing on me, and I can't wait for the finale.

Seems to me that Jordan is the master mind behind everything. Remember he told her what to do and she did it for him. Also, she hung on to his every word. There's obviously something about the past between all of them that we still don't know. Can't wait to find that out. Like how when they were killing Alex the banker and he was like "you have this all wrong, it's all because of Jordan, etc". And Alex also did what Jordan told him to.
And that was so tense when Deb and Quinn went into that room with the light on. Quinn always thought Dexter was dodgy and kind of hated his guts but then he fell in love with Deb so it seems like he might be able to overlook stuff if he finds out the truth. Plus he isn't the most angelic cop either (stealing money at one crime scene). But I don't know, can't wait to see what happens.

My initial conclusion was similar to yours. Emily is definitely involved and Jordan is repulsed/scared of her. There seems to be some roleplaying going on by Jordan; It's like he's playing along with Emily's fantasy. I wouldn't be surprised if she's been at every rape.
What I'm not sure of is whether Jordan is actually the 5th man in the photo. Perhaps the name dropped by Emily is not Jordan's alias. While I really don't have any reason for this, I feel they made a point of having Jordan depicted in the photo when he could have otherwise been excluded seeing as Emily is their only "reliable" source.

I believe Jordan holds the camera since he never participates, only watches.

Yeah I was getting that vibe too. Jordon Chase might be his real name and that dude in the photo (I forgot his name) might be some other guy that Emily and Jordon don't want Lumen and Dexter hunting for. Perhaps it is this extra man that will shed light on everything.

I just think that the Emily chick has a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome. Jordon is the insane one and led her to believe she was getting nice, special treatment from him (while he was ordering his buddies to rape her). Jordon might even be so fucked up as to believe his own lie.

I like Dexter's relationship with Lumen a lot more than I ever did with Rita. Dexter was never really honest with Rita and their relationship always suffered because of it... the longer they were together the more of an inconvenience Rita became. It is nice to see Dexter in an honest relationship.

I think that Jordan's philosophy is actually her philosophy, and she is the one that convinces them all to do the terrible things they do. Jordan was definitely terrified of her, he couldnt even make eye contact.
|
I never really got the vibe that Jordan was scared of Emily. It was more like he was scared of an inner demon. Probably has something to do with why he never participates in any of the activities.
Or if it's not an inner demon, he's afraid that if he does something with Emily then it will all changed. The look seems to me more like a righteous man who's in love with a married woman. He's afraid of something deeper that's not Emily.

+ Show Spoiler +Emily told Jordan that she told Lumen the truth about everything, just as he had told her to do. Pretty much clarifies that he was the fifth man in the photo (Jordan Chase/Eugene Greer).

i wonder when they are gonna kill off quinn's informant, dexter doesn't even know about him yet...

Unless what she thinks is the truth isnt actually the truth. Its possible that he took the picture, she is just ridiculously brainwashed and something else entirely is going on.

My bet is that there turns out to be tons of evidence that makes him look like the guy killing all the rapists. Or Quinn kills him.

We only have her word to go on that. For all we know, what she believes to be the truth is not necessarily the truth.

Jordan told her to tell Lumen the truth, she told Jordan that she did just that. The way she acts around Jordan leads me to believe that she was not lying to him. I think that her word is the word to go on in this situation. I don't see how she could have a false perception of the truth when it comes to taking that picture... She thinks she took a picture that she didn't actually take? And she also says that Jordan is in the picture, someone who she has known for many years, but it is not actually him?

Jordan seems to have a hold on her. They could have had a previous conversation where Jordan convinced her what the truth was and told her that's what she should say because it's the "truth". The fact that she explicitly told Jordan that that's what she did makes me think that she was looking for approval from him for doing a good job.

I liked the latest episode, but my god could they have found a worse actress to play Lumen or what? Usually I have a high tolerance for bad play, but I think that she just can't fit in the role.
|
Are you nuts? She's perfect. There's so much unspoken communication in her movements, especially with Dexter... you could see exactly what they were thinking and feeling when they finally got together... it was awesome
