+ Show Spoiler + I laughed too hard at the use of Hikari as a photon to describe light on the eyes of nocturnal animals.

i did follow konasuba already b/c i really liked s1. s2 was funny and fun but the animation was a lot more noticeable and it just wasn't as great as s1 overall. Also, im currently watching Kemono no Souja Erin...about 8 or 9 episodes into it and really enjoying it so far. has a pretty good mixture of happy and drama and suspense/mystery/intrigue (behind the world and everything) that its sucking me in. it does seem like its moving a bit slowly but i've heard that it's just like that.

The animation looked a little too CG, but it seemed to be cutesy. What the hell is with komodo dragon things and war? It looked like Dora the Japanese Explorer with AnthroGirls.

The presentation and direction is top notch, especially for the rakugo. The most creative visuals definitely come from the performances, but they're still used in such a way that they enhance it instead of being a distraction. It's honestly really impressive how well they integrated the rakugo into the story. And finally, the nature of rakugo itself lets the VAs really strut their stuff. I generally don't care much about voicing as long as its competent, but the skill required to tell the stories is pretty obvious. The other highlight of the series is definitely the cast. There's just so many great characters. Bon is definitely the star of the show since he was the focus of s1, but Yotaro came into his own as s2 progressed. Even Matsuda ended up being likeable. One thing they really nailed is the feeling of the timeskips. Old Yotaro is noticeably more mellow (and perhaps a bit wiser) than young Yotaro, but there are plenty of times when that trademark brashness shines through. I think I still like s1 better though. s2 had scenes with far more impact, but the story in s1 was much tighter. s2 tended to meander a bit, especially in the first half. Rewrite is also over. While it's a terrible show that nobody should watch, s2 was hugely entertaining as someone who read the VN. Terra route is perfect for a standalone adaptation, and it actually got enough episodes to be satisfying (though the end was still a bit rushed). Edgy Koutaro is pretty fun. I think Rewrite actually ended up being my second favorite show of the season. I'm not sure if that's more a testament to how entertaining Terra route is, or how mediocre this season was. CANOE is also a wonderful song. Erin can be quite slow, but it's pretty good. I will say though - don't be afraid to skip the flashback segments, because there's a LOT of them, and it's always the same flashbacks.

As for Ergo Proxy: Episode 15: + Show Spoiler + wtf, why are they on some TV Show and it's being streamed so Romdeau can see it? :S Had to backtrack to make sure I didn't miss something, never explained. Episode 16: + Show Spoiler + stuck together in the middle of nowhere, "he's showing his dominance by leaving the toilet seat up" lol. What is this? Tales of the couple+Pino or something? Episode 17: + Show Spoiler + Raul launched rapture and was caught and killed? Now we're back! Episode 18: + Show Spoiler + He's reinstated and they are going back to Romdeau? Nothing in Mosque? How are they going to get in? ;; BTW, I like Pino. Sure, she was probably annoying early on but she's a vital cast member imo. like a remake or continuation? LWA is mostly episodic but as of the latest episode the plot seems to move forward again. I think it's an ok show so far. At least it's decently entertaining. + Show Spoiler [Ergo Proxy ep15] + This episode sucks so damn hard. Try to ignore it. Although it won't be possible because the stream actually is acutally relevant to the story. Which doesn't make any sense in the setting. It's just 100 % retarded. Although I don't think the story is the main point of the anime, the last 4 episodes are going to ramp shit up, enjoy. It's probably the only show that is a must watch in Winter 2017. Clear AotS by a wide margin.

I think you have worded my thoughts about the show in a better way than I could have done. :o Like, sentence for sentence it's exactly what I thought after the last episode when I was reminiscing about the show.

Speaking of Sci-Fi, I've started watching Shinsekai Yori recently (at ep. 7) and if it keeps up the quality it might end up being one of my all time favorites. The world of SSY has the perfect balance of Fantasy and Sci-Fi, I haven't been immersed by the worldbuilding of a show this much in a long time. I'm looking forward see where the story is going.
