Cheese from IdrA. NOW I've seen everything. Well done btw, you need to have that threat in the back of your opponent's mind. You are a great player idra, but sometimes too predictable.

ya, absolutely brilliant that t has 2 absolute opposite ways to kill you and theres no way to figure out which one hes doing

we can be pretty sure anyone woulda won gsl like 30 times so far if they got to play vs z every time

It seems you're looking at this only from zerg's perspective.
Also it seems you're unfamiliar with the fact that zerglings are now faster than god and can counter attack extremely easily...
On some large maps speedlings can counterattack, kill all workers at one base and then be back to defend the attack before any damage was done (if they move out at the same time)
or you can make a zealot and all those zerglings are now useless

Does it seem to anyone else that lowbie players always go for the easy win? 6pool, Void Ray rush, mass marines, it's just a strategy that low level players can't beat for the sake of getting out of bronze. Does it ever get better? Do you ever get past the easy win strategies to strats that feel like they take more than 1 neuron to pull off? Like a successful 3gate 1robo? Or a well played and executed 1-1-1? Instead of just this crap shoot where whoever has the sneakier strategy wins the game, but you know in the back of your mind that it would never make it past silver anyway.
I understand how people will get annoyed at this thread, but I am having a "should I even bother" moment, and I know A LOT of bronze and silver level players feel it too, where you just wonder if it's always going to be like that. Are you ALWAYS going to deal with the newbie strategies, usually executed by complete, bragging BMing jerks, and you just want to never play again after it. Or do you get to a point where people stop using that crap, because you are good enough that you need a multi-faceted strategy to win, because 1 or 2 units, or 1 concept strategies don't cut it anymore. Does it always happen, or should I just learn how to do mass reapers, or rush cloaked banshees and call it a day?
EDIT: I am going to add another note to this. What do you consider "cheap" or "lowbrow" strategies? Because of my RTS background (which is minuscule) and how I view the term "strategy", I see things like mass void rays, mass marines, anything less than 10 pool, cannon rushing, as cheesy low brow strategies. You should definitely have an early game, but I feel as though you should NEVER be able to get by with one unit. For instance, mass void rays will beat any T army if he hasn't massed either marines or vikings. In my opinion, this shouldn't be the case, but it is. How do you view it?

Im looking forward to the GSL season. I think IdrA has a great chance of making it out of his group. Checkprime's an awesome zerg but if IdrA can get into the midgame I think his economic style will get him the win. oGsEnsnare isn't a typical Terran (he doesn't just mass out marines and maruaders every game) which IdrA is really strong against. The IdrA Jinro matachup will be pretty interesting. I've never seen IdrA play a Terran who played a more macro style (probably because Jinro is the only one) so it should be a pretty intense match.
He's been a bit more aggressive lately (at least on stream), which is a good thing for the current state of the game. But frankly, for now I'd be happy if he manages to stay motivated - he'll definitely be in a better position when the game finally advances from this retardation.
(P.S. I don't mean that P or T are OP, it's just a stupid game at the moment)

Can I act like Idra, make drones until it's too late and they obviously push with no expo up and plenty of army producing buildings up and then rage when they beat me with a timing push.

Its not that its a stupid game its just people haven't really figured it out (Ehh that means its stupid but yeah lol). A lot of people are starting to realize that this is more of a Strategy Game, where out thinking your opponent wins. Rather then BroodWar where best mechanics was the most important.
