All he needs to do is beat Rogue and they should use him to recruit young SC2-gamers in Korea. "So how much is a yearly salary for you?". "Well, just about $600.000"

He looked absolutely unbeatable in the first two games. Something just breaks in his head.

Dunno but it's quite often talked about in sports that people become afraid of winning. When they realise that they are right on the brink of succes they start overthinking everything and trip themselves up. Another thing is when you stand in a familiar situation in which you have failed before, and you start believing that you are unable to actually win. Like a sort of superstition. This would also be the case with soO in the finals. Man, it just sucks so bad. Am very happy that he won WESG and IEM this year.

That's literally how all his reverse sweeps go. He looks a league above his opponent, no matter how good they are, and everything goes his way. Then he gets a tad unlucky in game 3 and ends up losing that. And then he loses control and by game 5, he's shit outta luck. But it's ok, he'll just have to do better next year. As for the psychology of it, I think you could pretty much see the "Oh god, is it happening again?" on TY's face after Mech Depot and Abyssal. 2 championships, 1 runner-up, 2 top 4s (one at Blizzcon) - this was the best year of TY's career, even if it's easy to forget over 5 critical reverse sweeps and even if people aren't really gonna talk about him when discussing the best player of the year, he did well.

At the end of last year it was a much gloomier circumstance of missed opportunity. As a TY supporter I had the feeling that he had missed his chance to capitalise on his good form and that he might not be able to keep it up for another year. This was before WESG, which I saw as the last big chance for a while, but timed badly so that he could drop off and give Maru a chance to catch up in form. But then he had this year, and although he had a couple of small slumps and missed several big opportunities he has made ro8 or better in almost all of the important tournaments he has entered/qualified for. That’s two years in a row and as long as he doesn’t retire all of a sudden I don’t see why he won’t be able to do it again. He’s an excellent player. If he keeps giving himself the same opportunities he can very much win a Starleague/BlizzCon. I think also that he is a great strategist so he will cope with the new changes. Shame it’s so long until next year’s big tournaments!
