Of course, for a experienced player even solo selffound is crazy easy until maps (unless you play a slow starting build like CI summoner or something).

They may push it to merciless, but then the xp penalty becomes enough of an issue that they hit a wall and can't progress anymore.

It feels like it just made it harder to have absurd amounts of HP while allowing people to hit the 3-5K range more easily.

On the way to brutus, I find an ice nova box, place my smoke mine, go to open it, detonate my mine aaaand... stay in place. Nova + a few hits from mobs and rip. So yeah, today I learned that if you don't have a perfect line of sight to where you place the mine, you don't move. Hope that'll help someone !

I learned that the hard way with lightning warp lol. Every time I open strongboxes in non outside areas, I test my warp to make sure it works.

I decided to reroll it since a lvl 81 exile sounds spooky, but it on the other hand it could've dropped some pretty sweet loot. At what point do exiles like that become too dangerous? The level of the exile doesn't really matter, except I think a lot of them add pen/ support gems to their attacks at lvl 60-something. What matters is which exile it is, e.g. if Magnus pops up you nope out.

First time using Smoke Mine here and I never knew that...that most likely will save me from rips since I use it to yolo boxes all the time

What do I actually stopped play PoE because its so time intensive, HC is fun, but re-rolling after desynch get boring. Back to Dotka, might play some PoE again in a couple of months. Its a really good game.

Really loving playing softcore now, just working on new builds. Currently playing a budget low-life max aura ele wander - budget meaning I use Solaris Lorica instead of Shavs and most of my damage comes from my 4 flat damage auras. I have recently converted the toon to use IIQ/IIR gems (IIQ gem being one of the only nice legacy things I have from when I played before) so I lost a bunch of damage but I can still easily clear up to 70 maps for the unid chaos recipe. I have a Power Siphon MF culling + Generosity support setup for group mapping as well. I'm going to use this character as my primary farmer for now until I get some currency, then spend some on kitting him out with actual good gear before making the leveling push to 90. My new project is a staff Static Strike Templar. Currently 57 and having a bit of a rough time right now mostly just due to outdated gear but by 62 I will have replaced several pieces and should be wrecking it. I also have my original character which was a self-cast Ice Spear build. I got a little too excited and tried to do a full Fire Prolif (Cold to Fire + Herald of Ash) conversion with my free respec before I was quite ready, so this character is on hold until I can get my Infernal Mantle linked + one of the elemental staves. For my Static Striker, I can tell that I'm going to need a lot more physical mitigation on a melee character. What is the absolute MAX physical mitigation setup I can use right now? I heard armor kinda sucks, so is it block? How much block can reasonably be achieved with a staff? Lightning Coil? I was thinking about trying to get the Mind Over Matter keystone AND using a Lightning Coil. Is the interaction between these two as good as I think?

Lightning coil is a strong mechanic although it's definitely much better if you have over 75 lightning resistance. I highly recommend a 4-link of the following gems Cast when damage taken Enduring Cry Immortal Call Increased Duration Depending on your regen, max HP, etc you often want to leave the CWDT at level 1 and the other skills at (whatever level can be supported, I think level 3 EC/IC and max out increased duration). Other than that, having a granite of iron skin can definitely keep you alive through most non-boss hits if you have a decent armor total outside of that. Just don't eat big boss hits unnecessarily. Mind over Matter is really questionable without ethereal battery and I doubt your build is particularly near either of those keystones tbh.

On another note: Just couldn't end my zana daily. Had a Tora mission to complete and had like 20+ Ursans+lightning dmg with phyl link in 5 different rooms...
