Also no recoil AND 2x bullets per shot? Every headshot I get does ridiculous dmg because it hits twice (I am an assassin, and have 28% + 15% crit dmg). So far enemies die in fractions of a second. Ever since I got it, I put my sniper away and have been bullrushing everything.
As an example for elemental weapons + Show Spoiler + I hate that pistol. The dmg on it seems to be far worse than a straight dmg pistol against enemies that have no shield.

All my buddies playing this game, might have to just get it, if only to play some multiplayer with them.

Anyone on the final mission wanna beat the game with me (around lvl 30)? I was waiting for my friends, but they're damn slow and haven't played in a few days
(Steam name is same name as TL name)

Do the damage on weapons scale insanely from lv 20 to 30? becuse my highest damage (rocket launcher) have somethign along the lines of 900x3. best smg 110x2 and here I see 700x2 :O things would go really fast with that lol

Damage Value doesn't matter that much. Had a 4800dmg Pistol with ~Level24 - but maybe did 700-800 dmg per shot...

Just saw a game tip on the loading screen: Tediore weapons reload damage deals damage based on the ammo left in the clip.
So people seeing ridiculous damage might be reloading early which makes it do ridiculous damage because its throwing the whole clip of ammo away.

Final boss is annoying alone, I CAN beat him but I don't WANT to beat him without a buddy, anyone up for it? <_<
Probably will be up till midnight CDT (GMT -5).

Probably will be up till midnight CDT (GMT -5). Would be down to play since my IRL friends are lagging behind too, but I'm not that far, I've only just recently + Show Spoiler + btw how fucking epic was that part.

Basically go to Tundra Express and run to the zone where the blown up train is (stay right and follow the river), run through until you get to the sharp drop off with the chest at the bottom and the the fast travel station right before Wilhelm. This is a checkpoint. You can kill Wilhelm (he drops at least a blue 90% of the time), then hit the chest (which you spawn 3 feet from), save and quit, then reload and repeat.
You want to kill Wilhelm first so he doesn't run off and spawn a bunch of robots, the trick is to run out of the narrow canyon you start in and put your back to the right wall. This is so he can get to you, if he cant he will move to phase 2 and run off to spawn more robots. Then you just stand still against the wall (so his melee cant push you away) and nade (get a corrosive DOT grenade) headshot him to death. This makes his loot shoot into the little canyon you came out of and makes it so you dont have to chase him around or search the whole plateau for where his drops were launched . Then loot the chest near your spawn and regame.
With decent gear after a few runs you can kill Wilhelm in about 8 seconds in his first phase, so the whole run takes about 15 seconds. It's absurdly lucrative. If you cant kill Wilhelm fast enough you can just loot the chest 1 inch from spawn and do 3 seconds runs until you have good enough gear to own him.
I know what I'm doing tonight.

Caustic Caverns is pretty good for leveling just after you kill wilhelm and finish the next part of the story. Couple of side missions down there, a pretty cool minecraft easter egg that gives you some cool drops and a ton of threshers, crystallisks, spiderants and vorkids for levelling.
Is it just me or are crystallisks too easy? I just phaselock them, run up and melee their legs once each which smashes them in one no matter what and they die straight away. I killed blue that way real fast, wasn't even a challenge.

Crystalisks are pretty easy. Even the huge boss one in the [crap, can't remember the name... *snaps fingers* toxic waste mine place?] wasn't terribly difficult. The assassin I was playing with almost managed to kill him without any help back at level 17.
Spiderants, on the other hand, are a pain when you're playing by yourself. I feel like it's pretty hard to get behind them a lot of the time.

where exactly are the crit zones of treshers? in this mine level under sanctuary is this big ass pyro thresher who killed me like 25 times and i can't really do dmg to it cause the crits are coming somewhat random
any help?

CC is one of those levels that levels up with you, since I haven't put shit in my melee attack and my shotgun is my worst piece of gear (lvl 26 purple and I'm lvl 32) they actually take 3 full shotgun blasts to each leg to kill.

And with spiderants i like shotguns since its easier to get the crits on them and you can jump over them and shoot below as you jump (takes some practice).

any help? Crit zones for the badass pyre one down there are its tentacles, they have globes on halfway up, if you hit that it breaks the tentacle. Keep taking them down till there's none left and it should go down pretty easily.

The melee one hits legs regardless of level or damage, I think its a risk-reward kind of thing - if you go in close you can get a fast kill easily, but if you miss a leg and it turns round so you can't hit the last leg it will fuck you up pretty badly.

I'll have to spend some time in CC with my brand new shiny shotgun tonight. Got one of the ones with a scope, and I can't wait to try it out. Should be a good way to start grinding up the Siren's Motion tree. I want the Converge skill so bad it hurts T_T

Fluffybutt looked very presentable...
As a long time Hey Ash, whatcha playin'? fan, I thought she was kinda awesome too. The quests and writing just fit her quite well (which is not much of a surprise considering her brother was the lead writer on BL2). If you don't know the show, you should check it out. Ash is the voice actress of Tiny Tina and her brother Anthony is also in it.
Really enjoying the game in general. There's just so much fun stuff, fun weapons, fun quests and so many comical situations arise out of nowhere sometimes.
I'm close to finishing the game for the first time now I think, but still have a few side quests to do. I'm trying to do all the side quest the first time around and I'm currently at level 31.
Sadly the bandit slaughter round 5 keeps bugging out on me. After wave 3 no enemies will spawn anymore and it won't advance.
I really need some better weapons too. Does anyone know how the slot machines work? I know there's a slim chance to get purple/orange weapons, but are they actually adjusted to your level or to the level of the main story line you're currently at?
|
3 Borderland symbols = orange drop, but sadly I keep getting cockblocked after getting 2 of them.
3 Marcus symbols = purple drop (pretty easy to get)
3 of Moxxi's legs = blue drop
3 Cherries = green drop
3 of any Eridiums = obvious
3 Bandits= gtfo, bombs that scale in dmg with your level
Some random combinations of all the symbols give trash whites/cash drops.
There you go, now go blow all your money :D
Note: cost per play and weapon drops are always scaled to your level
