Akkari, a 27-year-old who has spent seven seasons with the Tripoli club, joins that group and legendary Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 points for the Lakers against the Knicks in 1962. No one pointed out that this was wrong and I am sad. It was when he played for the Philadelphia Warriors :l

..and that's such a scary thought! Of course it's easier said than done, but Rondo with range (and with that a better FT%) would create such a headache for every team in the NBA!

Tony Parker sucked at range for a long time as well. When Nash came into the league he shot at an inconsistent rate (had a sub 400 year). Jason Kidd never really developed a ranged shot either. You could say that for a LOOOOOOOT of players. Edit: We forget that DRose and Westbrook also had asinine jumpers their first couple years. List goes on and on and on and on...

Rondo also is just a different kind of player than anyone else in the NBA. Just a different kind of pace to his game, although the Chris Paul without a jumpshot comparisons are very air tight right now. Every time I'm ready to bump other PGs ahead of him he drops gems like tonight. ETA: I really hope Chicago annihilates this team so the NY media can stop the nonsense.

Well, all the players you mentioned are All-Time players (bar Parker), which is sort of the thought behind what I said - look at how amazing and incredibly hard those players are to deal with when you add range to their game. As of today all those players have long range, and I can't think of anyone who has the skillset of Rondo, but doesn't have a range as we speak :D
