But it's weird, my patch was 3.5 gb or something like that, i didn't have any expansion or DLC.

I advise Enemy Within though... the new maps alone are worth it, though again. Mecs rock. Thanks! I'm obviously hyped for the expansion since I bought it for release day. :-)

So I'm in a conundrum, as most know the first 3 months are the hardest. However I've failed twice so far because of the damn council mission 1.5 months in. Anyone knows what I'm talking about it's the one where you got to find some uncooperative dude and escort him back. The problem is thinmen left and right, getting incredibly bs RNG and shot angles whether I play really defensive or not. Anyone else run into this problem, and can help me out besides saying "luck out"?

If you can show up to that mission with a 5 man squad, one of which is a squad sight sniper, and another that's a mec trooper, you should be able to manage. Also make liberal use of overwatch - especially during the phases where thin men are dropping from the sky, if you spread your guys out before picking up the survivor, and just overwatch from a bunch of advantageous positions, you can usually kill anything left the turn after.

How the game works is that the thin men have fixed spawn locations. At least this was the case in EU. Its the movement of the npc that determines when the thin men spawn. Once you get to know the map you will also know where the aliens are, which makes everything so much easier. At this point the mission can be done with 4 rookies. Unfortunetely it takes some tries to get to know a map.

First time I tried to go old school after researching Meld not realizing what it was. I got wiped after the first terror mission. The 2nd time I got wiped after trying to escort the VIP back with a MEC soldier, and the officer school upgrades. The mission was going well for me and I had all 5 of my guys living, then 3 thin men and a sectoid dropped, one thin man the following turn after surviving overwatch fire found like the tiniest hole to fire at my VIP who dies, 2 of my squad panic, and the next thing I know mission failed with all 5 of my squad dead. The overwatch thing is not as reliable as last year, from what I heard on the Steam forums they tweaked the AI so that you can't pin enemies with overwatch anymore. Naturally they will move more now, and if you miss with overwatch which is highly likely against thin men, then you're likely going to take hits. I'm assuming you're talking about the map with 2 buildings, where the thin men can drop from the roof. One of them took a shot from a window above me... it's so lame Edit: Yea so as I said I'm not the only one who's thinking thin men on classic difficulty are a little lame right now. http://steamcommunity.com/app/200510/discussions/0/648811670565179682/ , same problems in my 2 games getting hit a good amount of times despite under high cover and having a high chance of getting crit.

Hopefully it will when it becomes avaliable. When you open up XCOM: Enemy Unknown in Steam it opens a splash page that lets you choose which version you want to play. So yeah, no new library entry is normal.
