Yeah but idSoftware is known for going above and beyond in terms of optimization. I have faith

Only time will tell, I hope you're right.

I played Binding of Isaac so much in 2011 that I never thought I'd return to it, but it is actually even more fun on Switch. A perfect portable game and I definitely don't miss keyboard+mouse. FPS games on any console are still not an option to me, so no Doom unfortunately.

Don't write off Doom before you see the control scheme! Using motion controls for a shooter is awesome if done well.

My gf being the awesome woman that she is, I'm now the proud owner of a Nintendo Switch! And I have to say, playing Zelda is a really good way to spend an hour and a half of train commuting every day! I'm only a few hours in but I'm already in love with the game!
Since I'm just starting, do you guys recommend I have a look at the season pass? I've heard there's a new difficulty level? Worth it for a first timer? Maybe later?

The master mode difficulty is honestly a kick in the teeth early on because of all mobs being 1 level higher
Also worth noting that switching difficulty means switching save file, you'll have to start over for master mode
I'm replaying the game with master mode at the moment and some things are crazy hard (trial of the sword) while others are still fairly easy (divine beasts)

golf story is a super sleeper right now.
easily one of the best indie games out there this year.

Quick question regarding user profiles. Did a few races on MK8 with my profile with my gf, unlocked stuff. Then a few more races on her profile and we unlocked different stuff. Is there any way to "merge" the data and have what we unlocked, the ranks we had, etc kinda synced between us 2?

Stardew Valley coming out tomorrow. This and Golf Story will take up most of my gaming time in the near future.

Is Golf Story really that good? I keep hearing people talk about it but i've never liked a golf game.

It's well worth the money but it pales A LOT behind indies like hollow knight and stardew valley

Golf Story crashed on me once and froze my character once. oh well.
The game is overhyped, but I do enjoy it and it is still a good game.
One thing disappointing about it is there is this one character spriteI see used so many times, with only the colors changed on the different characters, lol. You can tell it's indie, wonder why he released on only the switch.

Maybe the fee for publishing on the other consoles was higher.

While the switch clearly doesnt lack games like the WiiU, compared to the PS4 and the XB1 (which is kinda obvious considering how long they have been on the market) you can make your game pop up a lot more in the Switch, specially if its good and has good word of mouth

Golf Story is fantastic for the price more than anything. It's also nice to have some replay value in addition to the main story because the golf mechanics are just deep enough to be rewarding.
Calling it one of the best indi RPGs ever which is what people are hyping it as is kind of pushing it...
Just as a note I personally had zero crashes or errors while playing it.
