Façonnable model 2 years ago , this years collection has similar models though. Super well made frames , they are so robust and have some cozy finishing details , unlike most designers eyewear. Quite good frame , comfort that plastic frames offer and the colors are really nice , actually like a lot of tom ford's frames. Last but not least , Booth and Bruce frame 56 caliber , its funny thats the oldest i have and the more trendy nowadays , didnt found picture on the internet so yeah , big black square Frame. combine em all as I do please , and i have these in prospect. With a pair of transitions lenses ill use them as sunglasses too.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I should go for next? These were alright, but they're really not that comfortable and I wear them all day long. I'm open to any style really as long as they're they cause any discomfort. This is my first pair so I don't have experience with any other kinds, does anyone who has gone through a few different types/styles have any advice?

Or contacts. well thats a quite narrow way to see it IMO. Actually Luxottica has more than 50% of market quota in frames and owns the big public brands(Chanel , Prada , Versace...) ; I agree its really high , but there are others ; Safilo , Marchon , etc... Most of the REALLY HIGH quality frames i work with in my store are either hand made , or sold directly from the brand , but lux has an average to high quality in most of their brands. Oakley is owned by luxxotica but they are still manufacturing them in the U.S. so there IS difference from their other products , there was quite a big upset when they got bought bc they wanted to close the factory and bring the production to italy (like they did with Rayban) but finally they let it stay in the US where Oakley still produces his own materials and super-resistant lenses. Only to give some examples , sometimes pricey does not mean better , but other times it does

Personally I use Rudy Project Kabrios. Expensive, but they can double up as my sports glasses and I can attach a pair of shades to them. These two. I got sick good insurance last year that paid for free glasses. Just got the frames replaced recently for cheap, after destroying them both in mosh pits. I was always told not to buy designer frames at the optometrist because you can get really nice sunglasses elsewhere and have the lenses cut for them for less cost than marked up frames from your eye doctor. But I'm really happy with what my insurance paid for.

Nike 6032. Yeah, the brand sucks. But it's a titanium frame, and the temples end in memory metal with replaceable tips, so they are very comfortable and light, and very strong. Perfect for me. One tip on buying new glasses, especially if you need new lenses. Get your glasses from an optician rather than an optometrist. They specialize in lenses and frames, so you get access to a much larger selection of frames and lens materials. Of course you can order online, but I prefer to try frames on before I buy.

Don't really know much about frame brands, got this one because I liked it. Says Mexx 5463 on the inside, got them in a different colour though. ~350 € with lenses 3-4 (?) years ago I think. Insurance paid almost all of it. Gonna have to buy new ones sooner or later and I'll have to pay most of it myself. Got -2,0 dioptres on both eyes, although at least my left eye got a bit worse since I bought the glasses I think.

Mine are a bit darker, was about 4500 NOK (760usd) for the frame and lenses. Kind of pricey, but the lenses were the brunt of the cost iirc (-3,5 on both eyes, and I do a lot of color sensitive work on the computer, so I had to get lenses that wouldn't cause any chromatic aberrations).

+ Show Spoiler [If you are interested in exact make] + Charmant with CFX CX7154 I was going for the simple and rectangular shape when I got these about 4ish years ago. Not the biggest fan of them nowadays, but they are still in perfect condition(albeit the screws have obviously loosened so they are nice and swingy). Hopefully I'll be getting a new style soon; I most likely need a new prescription and I'd like to get some new frames to change things up a bit. ^.^

I still have two pair, sold the Fives a year ago for $30 (not the smartest guy buying 8 year old glasses for almost half the price of a new pair). This is my exact model (in another color), except I broke off the little plastic things that normally sit on your nose - having the frame directly on the nose feels even more comfortable to me because there is much less area of your nose being touched by the frame as opposed to these plastic holder thingies.
