also It seems for cellphone they reach the limit of useful improvment of resolution we are on the verge of eye limit in terms of resolution.
with iphone 6 the optimal distance where the resolution of your device is enough to match the resolution of the eye is roughly 20cm. If they sell in the future better resolution device it will be totally useless as this gen of device is already optimal.
And concerning android vs apple yeah android devices are already doing all the iphone 6 things at the same level since a couple of years and still sheep journalist are praising apple for their "innovation" and "technology advance".

8MP is probably enough MP but it's not like the previous iPhones were better at taking pictures than their specs suggested. So I don't really get why you would think that. There have been some really good 8 MP cameras on other phones for some time now though.
This is pretty meh altogether.
The camera is still 8MP but is vastly upgraded and a lot of stuff has been added to it. It is much better than the Iphone 5.
I could never quite grasp that: Why on earth is a camera in a telephone so important? But ok, I'm out, I actually use my smartphone for communication and not posting selfies on twitter...
I dont like how you need an iphone to use the iwatch, you should be able to change the settings on your home PC/MAC.Not that i will be buying it anyway.
But really though, it's about time Apple made these changes. I do admit the phone's redesign looks pretty nice. Their watch on the other hand is ugly. Motorola 360 all the way.
This also sums quite well why techies just don't get it.
A spec is a number. What you can do with it is what counts.

Agreed to an extent.
However the specs of the iPhone 6 are like stone age specs from 2012. This is undeniable.
The software upgrades aren't very ground breaking either. iOS 8 is a tiny step forward.
People seem to be getting unnecessarily angry about these things. Fact is tech is not just tech, especially with things like phones they cross over into the realm of fashion accessories. In such a capacity Apple still has considerable clout.
That said, the Plus is especially disappointing as it seems very much an afterthought just to fill a gap in Apple's product range, but not particularly well thought-out.
Proper multitasking and split-screen apps is really where my iPhone lags behind what my friends have shown me, stuff like that I want Apple to get their shit together on.
Watch whiteout sapphire Glass? You might also just let it selfdestruct after 1-2 Months...
The watch is an interesting concept IF it actually would do everything the Smartphone does... As Long as I still need a Smartphone on top of the watch I don't see why i would want one....

Some of you guys have serious insecurities if you really feel the need to call other people idiots for the phone they choose. Try to remember not to tie your self-identity to a piece of electronics.
Btw the iPad was criticized in basically the same way. Why buy it when most people already carry around a smartphone and a laptop? Before iOS apps got to the point they are now it might have been hard to see its potential too. This stuff never succeeds because techies take a huge shine to them. It's about mainstream appeal and things having an infrastructure behind them. So things like NFC payments have been around, but it's nothing more than a checklist feature until you get it into a bunch of stores. So when Apple actually does that, everyone is going to think Apple Pay is the greatest revolutionary feature ever, even though technically Android had it earlier. Having a feature doesn't make it a good feature though. There's so much else going on and it's a little funny to see the exact same sort of short-sighted complaints before every new category of device gets popular.

Yeah and then people were like "How come my iPad doesn't have a USB port, or expandable memory, or the countless other features already offered by other tablets"?
I see apple falling off of a cliff after the next few releases without Jobs. It won't take long in today's world for people to abandon them like a firehouse baby.
PALO ALTO, CA—Eighteen months after the death of his mentor, Apple CEO Tim Cook was seen Wednesday pounding the tombstone of company founder Steve Jobs and begging for guidance in his leadership of what was once the largest corporation in the history of the world. “What the hell do I do?!” a hysterical Cook reportedly shrieked, clawing alternately at the grave marker and his own face. “You left no instructions, damn it. I need another game-changing breakthrough product that millions can’t live without. Just give me one idea. One idea, for the love of God! Why are you torturing me like this?” At press time, sources confirmed that Cook had composed himself and decided to develop an iPhone 6.

I can't believe you just said that.
Dude, have you ever seen how teenage/twenty year old chicks actually use smartphones? They don't give a fuck about specs and whatnot, even less for me showing them cool shit you can do.

LOL this made me think of an instance I had asking someone about thier new iPhone. I asked "So what are the specs on that thing"
To which she responded "What specs?! This is brand new! There better not be any specs on it!?!" /facepalm
I came to this thread expecting insane ramblings and it certainly delivered. Thank you thread. All that would have made it better would have been discussion of chemtrails/other conspiracies and someone Godwining the thread.

Also this. Worrying about what phone other people use is a huge waste of time. It really doesn't matter. I've owned both platforms and really, they aren't all that different. Looking down upon someone because of what phone they use is insanely shallow.

You do need to keep in mind the average person doesn't actually care about that stuff. The average user is a lot less technologically proficient than one would think. I work with a lot of people in this category and their choice of phone usually comes down to price, screen size, and whether they like the look of it or not. They don't care about how much RAM it has or which processor it uses. That stuff is insignificant to them.
