I may pop out to Chanhassen later to see what is going on, for anyone interested a local Minnesotan station the current seems to be playing only Prince for the time being.

i liked that about the guy. Led Zeppelin is the same way. true greats are like that. and i like the fact that Prince battled the music industry and record labels for ownership of his master recordings.
i'm no jehovah's witness and i don't believe in all of Prince's "way out there" ideas.. but some of his ideas are radical and correct. and i love how he refused to stay silent.

All these years I thought prince was his nickname! Well more than anything I wish people mourning his loss rest in peace (not death). Prince is resting quite peacefully I would think.

I just can't believe it RIP The artist formerly known as Prince

Damn it. Just 57 years old. We have lost a genius. Purple Rain one of my favourite albums. Get ready for the eulogies..

Well fuck. 57 years old, too early man. RiP Prince!

First Avenue, the venue where most of Purple Rain was shot to host an all night dance free for the public.

What makes the solo even more legendary is it is a giant fuck you to Rolling Stone. That's why Prince did it.
|
He could play every musical instrument you hear in his music. Man was a legend.
I'm gonna eat some pancakes tonight for dinner.
Game. Blouses

may he hope to meet all the guitars he's thrown in his afterlife! and continuing banging them up over there as well

I'm no huge fan of Prince and not looking to capitalize on this unfortunate passing, but he was one hell of a talented musician. His guitar skills were impressive and he has a library of rightfully iconic songs.

great artist, always loved his amazing falsetto on tracks like most beautiful girl in the world.
|
Not going to pretend I was a massive fan, but I've bought a few of his cd's and enjoyed a fair amount of his music so hearing about this is a little sad. He was really young which is what sucks the most. There could have been a lot more great music to come
