Also, Jayce and Alistar not among the highest win rates. That's surprising, I'd currently name them among the top 5 champs to have easily.
Especially for alistar, yeah. Love him. He's a gamebreaker in my mind, he can either win the game, or lose the game - depending on who is playing him.

Mundo, Renekton, Alistar, Ashe, LeBlanc vs. Cassiopeia, Udyr, Sion, Sona, Draven
What do you guys think? I thought team #1 would be pretty damn good, but my team disagreed (and we got stomped in 11 minutes something because we went 0-7 in under 150 seconds)

if you went 0-7 in under 150 seconds your team just sucked dick. They don't even have any really long range poke, so it just means your melee probably had no idea how to play and just were way too far forward or just fucking went ham in the first 5 min.
also its really funny to see AP Sion in ARAMs now, as he is so unseen in real games that people don't know how his shield works. You see like whole teams just running from a Sion, and I'm just like, fucking kill him.

Mundo is like super strong. You can build basically anything. He seems like the strongest pure tank right now.
HOWEVER, I almost always win when I get tanks because no one knows about Bulwark and Locket.

The reason Alistar's win rate is so low is because a lot of Alistars fail to realize just how game-breaking his team-wide sustain is. They may occasionally use his heal, but they'll max his Q first and be completely focused on initiating. Those Alistars are little better than Xin Zhao in terms of game impact, and Alistar's winrate reflects this.

Its usually better to get it second IMO, early game is usually all about poke and passive play, more import to rush the aegis.

Nah, you need Horn by level six, unless you only have a single bruiser/melee. Level six fights get decided by who has more bruisers with a Horn
Considering Mundo, I really love Liandry's Mundo if you have some other tank available, and then go straight HP (plus some armor or resistance if the enemy team is heavily focused)

On all melle characters, I either go Horn>Bulwark or Aegis>Horn>Bulwark.
On mundo I get Liandrys eventually, but you win before you even need to do that because he is a beast.
Land Cleavers = Win game.

Honestly, horn is good on everybody, not just bruisers.

Not quite sold on that - ranged champs don't need defenses as badly, and you can get sufficient regen otherwise. Especially risky to build Horn on non-frontliners considering the negative effect on team morale if your teammates ever check your build and you run Horn on an AD carry or something - they'll be busy typing while they should be fighting. God knows how many games I lost to that

Guys, could use some advice on rune pages... I currently have 4 pages total, and would like to optimize those 4 pages to be used across all possible situations for ARAM (as much you possibly could given just 4 pages). Keep in mind I own all different roles of champs about equally (almost 50 total) including many melee/bruisers but also lots of adcs and ap mids.
At the moment I only use two pages for about 95% of my games, which comprise of:
AD page with a mix of armor pen/damage marks, armor pen/damage quints, flat AD seals, flat MR glyphs AP page with magic pen marks, AP quints, flat AD seals, flat MR glyphs
My 3rd page that I use every once in a great while has the MR glyphs swapped out with AP glyphs for more of an all out AP page - I'm weary of using this in ARAM though as I fear I will get bursted down way too easily. The 4th page has attack speed marks, everything else same as AD page
I'm content that my first two rune pages are useful/viable, but I'd like to actually make use of my other two pages as well. What do you suggest I set up for my 3rd and 4th pages, and what champs/roles would those pages be suited for? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

I'd set up a tank page: movespeed quints, (scaling) armor yellows, scaling MR blues, and either mpen or armor reds -- something you can use on champs like Sejuani, Malphite, and Amumu.
|
Attack speed red/quints, for like, Skarner? There are heroes that scale of attacks but in need of attack speed anyway. HP quints+armor reds for tanks maybe.
You could also make a couple of Very specific rune pages for some champs/builds, where they only come together with that specific build...

Speaking of ARAM items, Grez's Spectral Lantern 3pots is an amazing start on AD champs, it gives great lifesteal sustain and a great lump of armor and AD super cost effectively. then on top of the great stats is the active which allows you to clear shrooms/reveal akali or shaco/ negate enemy brush control/avoid facechecking/prevent brush jukes in duels. Its SO useful.
its fucking great

anyone got a good Nami build? I recently bought her and had my first game with her. I went Athene's/raba/sorc but I guess I'll max CD next time

This is truth. If only Hextech Sweeper had a cheap version that upgraded into it like Lantern -> Lightbringer.

Athene's is perfectly fine. I tend to prefer DFG to Deathcap for getting to 34-40% CDR, but you can always just sit on the Codex. Twin Shadows can be ridiculously good because more movespeed + slows = easier to land Qs.

Morellonomicon is the answer to everything in ARAM, I just realized that in addition to the perfect blend of stats it gives for its price, its passive is also f*cking great in arams if the other team has any form of sustain
edit: just won a game vs yi/zilean/blitz/jax/twitch, it feels great. nunu op.
|
I feel like Athene's > morello most of the time. Maybe this is just personal experience, but I always get 3-5 magic damage based opponents. And most poke is magic damage based, so the MR is pretty good. Plus, LOTS more mana regen.
