P.S. it's really annoying how the english language doesn't have succinct phrase that has the same meaning as 加油/hwaiting. P.P.S. This is not the reality I wanted. I don't see how this implies that Ackerman is retiring. Since he mentioned S5 I actually assume that he is continuing to play. On the other hand, Noname is clearly retiring as far as the Weibo implies. I got the implication due to the overall negativity in his tweet + he used beef noodles as his apology (I took it to mean: I can't absolve myself of guilt using in-game performance instead since I'm not following you guys to S5). As opposed to Vasilii who's just like "S5 fighting!", and generally the more upbeat/"I'll do better next year" nature of non-retirement posts as per Mor. Plus from my off-hand impression w pro-gamers and weibo is that the person that tweets first AND gets retweeted with a retirement tweet usually just as likely if not more likely to retire >_> My bad though. Should've made it (the ambiguity) clearer in my initial post. Should I edit it? ?_? P.S. Vasilii's weibo: http://t.qq.com/a401789222Mor retweeted the LMQ tweet about seeing everyone again in S5 http://t.qq.com/weibodian5103 Which in itself is ambiguous because I can't tell if he's referring to the team or the fans.
Pretty sure he's speaking to his teammates for his last sentence. For one, I can hardly imagine him seriously treating his fans to beef noodles, and two: in the original tweet on weibo he tagged all the other members of lmq at the end of the sentence.

that's even better than jesiz superteam

They are playing ranked 5vs5, no idea who is Istari/Steve, but Niels is really good, top 5 adc in EU next year easily.

Why on earth would you ditch Acer of MYM. Everything I've read points to Acer being pretty good. Am I missing something?

MYM probably just gave them a bit more cash and that's it. Personally I think it's futile to try and build a legitimate brand with a dumb name like SUPA HOT CREW XD or Unicorns Of Love, Phreak might ironically say that they're his favourite names, but the joke wears off after a week. You really need to be wrecking faces or be an old legendary team like NIP to pull off silly-ass names when it comes to brand building I think.

UoL said multiple times that they want to develop this name as a brand. And actually, a bit more cash, uh.
Considering to Mac's answers on reddit, SHC asked for 10k salary only for players, i don't think that MYM can pay more, considering that they're in pretty meh shape (ye, we're not in 2008-2010). And it's just not okay ROI for Acer.
+ Ye, Ackermann was working in MYM in 2012-2013 as business manager, so it's pretty easy move.

It's not 2010/11 you will not became TSM/CLG.

Two step guide to making your silly name brand work: 1. Win everything 2. Don't not win everything
Worked for NiP couldn't be easier!

I just wonder why can't they sign with mTw, who expressed desire to return to esports multiple times or those CD-key sellers like Planetkey. But in general, i guess, they just think that they can develop fanbases, achieve results and find sponsors easily, so, basically, pink glasses, competition is too fierce, even winning shittons won't help like it happened with Throwbargains, who were basically top-2 team in NA whole 2013 and still got 10 fans one of them being Fusilero.
+ There are not that many well-established organisations without teams in EU right now, outside of NiP and mTw i can't even name one without extended thinking.

Mtw died a long time ago, many of the classic CS/WC3 brands are long dead (4kings rip sweet prince) Also five man teams aren't cheap, oz alone probably stretched the budget and he's not exactly jaedong either. Their counter-strike team included a goddamn hacker. TCM might get a new team if they were inclined to besides that meh.
If a new org really wanted to break into LCS it'd probably be from na'vi or some other dota oriented team that realised that LoL in Russia isn't going to happen

TCM might not be okay with purchasing whole team considering that they just got First and Yoda and they're not Jaedongs either.
Even extended thinking doesn't help me. LONDON CONSPIRACY, LET'S GO. BEST NAME IN ESPORTS.
ZeroGravity said though, that League isn't ROI-friendly, so he's not going for it second time.

As the guy on Reddit wrote, one of the problems for Team Acer is that they've got no sponsors (outside of Acer themselves) and so it's much harder to get a ROI. Not sure why they don't go the Roccat route and just get 1 or 2 additional sponsors, I don't imagine that being too hard of a task. Even giants like SKT aren't too proud to share their name with some non-conflicting sponsors.
Also I'm a bit disappointed that you guys forget Mouz, they've tried a bazillion times to somehow get a foothold in League! Never worked out though.

What did work out for mouz in any serious game, let's be serious. Their CS teams historically blow on LANs, everyone remembers what happened with Dear and their dota teams are changing faster than CS's ones.
Like, only mouz long-term success was MaNa and they dropped him without thinking too much into it.

Hey mouz had a really good thing going with thorzain/mana/hasuobs/morrow squad but that fell apart sadly. Titan maybe, I don't quite get titan seeing as they are split between a SEA dota squad and EU CS:GO team but maybe there's something there if they want it. One problem with getting into league is that it's really top heavy no matter how much riot loves "muh sustainability", like sure you can make LCS but unless you're near the top or a big brand no one gives a fuck, if copenhagen wolves or millenium just dropped out of LCS very few would care.

Titan have Cypher as well, actually, many tend to forget about it. But i don't see them diving into League tbh, we don't even see all Chinese top-dogs diving into League hardcore, why even bother to speak about Titan.
But realistically, almost every top EU/NA org is represented in LCS right now. + Ye, i agree about top heavy, not sustainable for lesser orgs.
aAa might give it a shot probably in future but who cares.
