I know they are well-liked on this forum, but don't know their popularity outside of that. I know people like Bjergsen though so they probably root for Wolves. I'd guess EG vastly overpowers Wolves in the number of fans they have. EG has history (team, lineup and individual players), success, good community relations and also appeals to fans coming from other games with famous EG squads. All of their players are highly marketable and have successful streams and a big individual fanbase. (GG is probably in the same boat, witnessed by the huge amount of EU MVP votes they got. Think about it, it took sOAZ winning a 1v1 vs Wickd to secure an all-star spot for the winner of the EU Spring Split - Allstar could have been a pure GG team without the three-people-per-team rule, or EG/GG mix otherwise) Wolves have only been in the spotlight since Dreamhack Winter 2012 and since have enjoyed their role as the eternal dark horse. There aren't many memorable moments in their history, only Bjergsen has a fairly successful stream, community interaction is limited. Bjergsen is probably the only player that is known to a wider audience - and to many, he's just another world-class EU mid-lane player, which we seem to breed. (Warning: following content is opinionated and may be offensive to the reader) I think it's fairly natural for TL.net members to gravitate towards Wolves. We've groomed a mindset of being the elite, the avant-garde of League followers and analysts. Hence, supporting the high-potential dark horse team over the "establishment" that is EG, GG and fnatic is the logical consequence. I don't think I've seen nearly as many Wolves supporters on any other site. I'm a fan of Wolves because the first TL write-up I worked on was for the THOR Open where the Wolves played and impressed me. I didn't even seen them at Dreamhack Winter xD. Yeah, I said it another thread but EG are like the Lakers and Yankees in terms of popularity, their number of fans just overshadows most other teams.

On TL I almost feel like a hipster being an EG fan. I also like Wolves, but being a fan of them now feels too bandwagon for me.

I have this weird compulsion to prove that I'm not a bandwagon fan with Wolves. Like I get offended when someone says they are just popular because of Bjergsen playing well in the LCS. I SWEAR I LIKED THEM SINCE BEFORE THE QUALIFIERS.
Don't know why I feel this way though lol.

Don't know why I feel this way though lol. I rooted for Wolves before the qualifiers because I liked the name of the team when I looked up the contestants on Liquipedia. (So many "team XXX" or "YYY gaming" it makes me sad people lack inventivity so much.)
That's pretty dumb as a reason. But, hey! They're in! And they're fulfilling expectations! Unlike Dig's EU off-shoot, Giants.

A shame, I liked the team name.

We jinxed it by talking about them too much -_-

Most of the apparel used by LCS teams looks really bad in comparison (even though the Wolves shirts were pretty much generic white Adidas shirts with the logo and the sponsor stamped on) because it never seems to fit.
