yeah the worst part is how easy it would probably be to find people who are better commentators, or at least observers! i remember the babara starleague guy on afreeca back in the day was pretty good.
but yeah it was pretty frustrating at times, like hearing the tank drop sounds in nal_ra vs midas while the observers were looking at nothingness. or i think one of nada's tanks had like 10+ kills in nada vs bisu, but it was hard to read, so i might've been mistaken. if it was OGN/MBC though, i would've known by whether the commentators flipped out or not
the rotating booths to reveal who they chose was a good idea, but could've been refined for more excitement. the commentators announced it in a pretty bland way usually before i could tell who it was from the video. zooming in on the player, with like fireworks and a highlight/intro video playing in the background would've kicked ass.
despite those complaints, the experience as a whole was awesome, because of the quality of the games and what i thought was an exciting format

I liked the presentation. I have no clue what the commentators are saying ever so i was pretty impartial to that.
HOWEVER!!! THE FUCKING OBSERVER NEEDS TO BE SHOT!!!!! He missed soooo much shit. A nexus at an expo had finished and had probes maynarding before he even scanned it. They kept the camera constantly focused on the "front line" action and then all of a sudden i was like "wtf, arbiter? where did that come from".
Also, i want more Dungeon Fighter, BOUNCING EYEBALLS FTW!!!

i dont think the commentary would matter if i do not care about it. these are free formatted and hyped up events, wiht good games and names people actually want to see. they are fun. things like bad observers are really not decisive or even much of an issue in regard to the excitement and energy in the matches. look at the live report threads, it was a well received event.

lol how can you not like it! :p I <3 the left commentator.

I totally agree with rinizim's post. The commentators don't bother me really because I don't understand Korean so that's fine. The observer isn't very good though, he missed a lot of things that had to be seen. Overall I love the SuperFights and the way they are organised, music, flashy effects, fancy intros, spinning booths etc makes it really special IMO. I might add something more to this post later I'm really hungry right now.

In the beginning I was hoping for a more of a monthly grudge match between two rivals. But they keep trying to make Superfight into something big and grander than it should be. I say keep it but follow some great advice.
Keep it simple, stupid.

Yea, the Superfights would be better if they weren't so ambitious. Nine games in one night in a row... is just too much. The OSL's old 24 man format with six games a night was already pushing it. Especially since there was so little downtime between matches, which was nice for us viewers, but probably tired the already inexperienced commentators out... the players probably got tired too, which was why the last round was so lame.

The fifth superfight was a bit disappointing, but it gave me something to watch at least. Since the season's over, there hasn't been any good matches to watch. I would vote a mixture of the two options you gave me. "Yes (they should continue), but they also have been disappointing."

well of course they should continue. Better with bad commentators than no superfight at all

It was very sad when none of the commentators laughed at a joke that one of them made.

Twice I tried to move the screen.. once by clicking on the minimap and once by moving my mouse to the edge of the screen. It didn't work.
Happened to me too. Tried AGAIN watching the recorded VOD.

I'm sort of conflicted. I enjoy watching the best play whenever possible but..the allure of Superfight has sort of dissipated for me with the fact that they have one so often. To me watching progamers is about the quality of the games, not so much the quantity. And with all the preparation they put into starleagues, they usually produce amazing games. Plus the hype behind them makes it 10x more exciting. For me superfight is like a glorified exibition with some good games thrown in, but I don't especially look forward to it. I remember when they had the first one Boxer was in, I was so excited and thought about it days before hand. Now it's like..'another superfight?' eh, ok. I'll watch

Just my opinion on it, I didn't say everyone shares my feelings
