Btw. Is there a comparison 1.0 vs 2.0? Or is it too complicated to actually say anything?
The visualizer thing for 1.0 was great, does it exist for 2.0?
Great work btw.!

I see that all other layouts has "Ctrl+Shift+Key" as add to control group, so i'm not sure if thats an error in the layout.

As with all things Starcraft, there were surely be some "evolving" to do, just like game balance. But I imagine that the core mechanics will be generally the same, albeit with some tweaking and refining. I definitely wouldn't wait around for LotV to start learning.

Hey Jak, what other projects are you working on these days? Might there be any interest in some statistical data-crunching for TheCore? I love the theory and analysis behind this project, and thought about contributing through some sort of statistical side-project to both help TheCore + use the project as a personal springboard to building up data/analysis/stats skills. I thought it'd be great if we could get a pool of replays and run regressional analysis on them to visually plot trends in *commands*, and then use that as an overlay for distribution. Nothing crazy, but it might be fun to see some graphs and bell curves showing fired commands/actions and at varying points throughout a match (on average).

I should have been more precice. I meant, is it worth it going from 1.0, which I am using right now, to 2.0. Even though the principles are the same, it look like a very different setup to me. The longer I think about it, i start to doubt, the change from 1 to 2 is worth it at all... I thinkit is unbelievable, how much inspiration the community draws, from a "simple" game. This project is only one of the many examples. Go SC2 community :-)

@Wildbuddha: I think the benefit does not meet the necessary time investment to switch from 1.0 to 2.0. So it is up to you, if you want to switch. If your focus is on improving in SC2 then it will be more efficient to spend your time on something else. Althoug I am not sure, if 1.0 will receive an update for LOTV. So you might have to set those hotkeys yourselfe. But as it stands now, there are only a few new hotkeys, which should not break the overall layout. @sexytoss: I think those videos will give you a good start: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiejbQlQAdGm5BmZvMIUAyDDpRgdXBXuP If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask them here.

Just read the discussion on the page before this. Problem still seems unresolved and has to do with something overwriting ctrl+p. Edit: For some reason CTRL+SHIFT+0 doesnt create CG6. However, I can "add to CG6" by ctrl+0

I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that P has a sub group (shift-P). My hotkeys are: Create CG6 - ctrl+shift+P Add to CG6 - ctrl+P <--- only one that doesn't work Select CG6 - P Create CG7 - ctrl+shift+J Add to CG7 - ctrl+J Select CG7 - shift+P Ok took me really long to figure out but I had to turn off my graphics card control centre and my logitech keyboard control centre because they occupied ctrl + p with some weird thing. Hope it works for you.

No major changes are planned for 2.0, with LotV or otherwise. Is it worth the effort to switch from 1.0 to 2.0? No, I do not think it is worth it. 2.0 is best for players starting TheCore. If you're already on TheCore, I strongly advise against switching. To Vanngar I am happy to accept ideas to make the OP better. Write it up and send it to me. No guarantee I'll directly port it into the OP, but its likely I'll at least be able to use some of your ideas. To ColdBlackIce Hell yea I'd love to see more analysis. PM me with your specific idea and a plan on how to best execute it. Concerning the Visualizer To the best of my knowledge the visualizer is showing the most up to date version of 2.0 currently. I didn't go through every single key, but it all seems in order. Feel free to post up specific inconsistencies should you find them.

Correct. Based on what we've seen so far in LotV there will only be very slight changes to 2.0. It is very unlikely, but still possible that Blizzard will mess with CGs, Cameras, Rapid Fire, etc. If they do, we will obviously adjust, but otherwise its just a matter of adding the new units and abilities.
