But overall: Thank you for all the work and effort you and others have put into theCore. Now after ~1-2 month it really feels a lot better than the grid. And I am using camera hotkeys now. Never thought I would ever do this :D

Could it be remapped so that the sequence is made with different fingers so that it's done quicker and more comfortably? It's the kind of action that a zerg player use often in a game. Thanks

I've started playing with v2 zrm. you've made an amazing job here. The first few games (v1 at that time, 3 days ago) were against comp on normal speed. i took my time, tried to remember hotkeys and stuff. did some macro routines, injecting, creep spread, buying army, hotkeying eggs, moving my army around, teching, tried to focus on one thing at a time. at first the research keys were weird (coming from my own grid like setup, ~all research and abilities on QWE), I even started to change the binds, but then i thought hey, these guys have put some serious amount of time so lets just do it their way first, then change maybe later. after a second thought i found out that the research keys were actually quite logical. maybe you should put a short rationale section on the front page somewhere, which would summarize things like J is for speed or armor research, etc. then i started to read the forum and realised the core i dl'd a few months ago (v1) has an upgrade (v2), so i checked that one. there were even bigger chaos in my head, but i thought its better to change soon since v2 going to be / is the std core. this time i've made some slight modifications. i did not like the 'inconsistency' of the camera hotkeys. i mean, using different keys to set and recall a camera. so i'm just using {alt,c+s}-{poijkl;9} to set and jump to cameras. my jump to selection is alt-' so if i want a centered camera, i press alt-' followed by alt-key to set the camera. this needs to be set only a few times, so i dont care. i dont use creep cameras (yet?). i use the POI(J) for the first 3(4) bases i want to inject. i don't care about more bases, in my games i might have 3-4 inject queens and 2-3 creep queens, but not more. i reserved the KL; cameras for creep cameras if i ever want to learn using them (i think minimap is just fine), now i just use them to bind cameras for new expos. given that its not that hard to press SHIFT-K instead of SHIFT+CONTROL-K (bye bye viper group), this might not be such a good idea to use these KL; cameras too frequently (and the original binds were actually quite good afterall, needing more time to learn). i could not get used to the recommended hotkey assignment, so here is what i'm experimenting with now: i use OIU for main army, O= melee, I= ranged or muta depending on style and matchup, U= did not happen yet, maybe runby lings. K= vipers (casters). the point is, i want to keep army on the home keys, so it's less likely i fuck up my noob micro. i'm willing to sacrifice some efficiency while i macro or creep. it isn't that bad because of the inject and creep keys are so conveniently placed at - and ; , so i have my hatches on 9, inject queens and tech on 0 (top row for macro), i use cam hotkeys to inject. i have my creep queens on L, so L; is very nice for creeping with or without RF (i tend to do without). i have . for nydus and , is, hmm, is not used. i have cut down the keybinds that had more than 2 binds. so my RF is ; only. i consider more than 2 binds a cheat. i had one accident when i transfered drones to a new base, built a hatch and 2 gas there, and i somehow burrowed my drones. i had some problems with not holding SHIFT+CTRL properly, i have to remind myself to push those mfs harder when i'm doing my inject cycle. still think its better than v1, i'm loving the shift=set and ctrl=add setup. thank you guys! béla

I am still using the core v1 (zrm) and only did some minor adjustments. I don't even know if I'm using it the way it was intended to, but it feels very natural to me and despite the one time I accidently blew up my whole baneling army, because I wanted to Queen inject I really love the setup. Now with LOTV comming up, I wonder if I should switch to v2, since I guess v1 will not be maintained anymore? I already spent a day trying out v2, but as we all know, habbits are hard to break and I am really wondering if it'd be worth the hastle to switch to v2.

No, I do not think it is worth it. 2.0 is best for players starting TheCore. If you're already on TheCore, I strongly advise against switching.

I'm very appreciative of this project because of how it can be applied to other games. I have an incredible version of it for WoW right now. Experimenting in other games suggested that it's pointless and possibly worse if there is a lack of usefulness for 2+ modifiers.

I'm assuming it's missing keybinds for the new units so I'd have to remap those manually, which isn't the end of the world. Is there any other drawbacks I might run into? Haven't played actively since WoL so I have a chance to make some big changes :D
