As a zerg I have recently encountered with protoss denying/severely delaying my natural exp with putting pylon by his scout probe. When I go to my third instead to put base there, he just puts pylon there as well with the same or 2nd early probe (sometimes even on 4th base too - i.e. on Nimbus map). As a result I have two pylons in my 2nd/3rd bases and I can either pull 5-7 drones to kill one of pylons or wait for 2-4 lings to kill it too. Both options put me far behind from the start.
What are you advices about preventing pylon blocks? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!
you really aren't that far behind if he blocks both naturals. I don't know what league you are in but I usually go pool first vs protoss and I just wait for 4 lings to pop out before I expand.
yea just start your overlord before hatch when you get blocked, you're literally doing the same thing he is, 100min into a supply unit. protoss buildings cost minerals too, he can't block you and do his build perfectly at the same time. often players who do this are trying to get ahead with a greedy build so if you run your lings across the map after killing the pylon sometimes they're greedy with their wall and you can be annoying
Hi ima platinum zerg player. im haveing trouble in ZvT. my overall mechanics are good. the thing is i wanna be able to take a 3rd go into muta ling bane gainst a terran comfortabley with upgrades. im having trouble with the harrasment of hellions and hellbats. should i make 2-3 roaches? like all the time? i want good build against a bio player that harrases me at like 6-8 minutes. i wanna be able to go into mid game comfortably

A good build is to go for 16 hatch, 16pool, 16gas and pull out of gas after speed is done. I usually make 6 lings to deal with the reaper but 4 is good aswell. Make a third queen at your natural and only drones until then.
At 6min, speed will kick in, which will allow you to take your third. Put drones back into gas at the same time and take a second gas (probably at your nat). Also, sack an overlord to see if he's going 3CC or some kind of hellion/hellbats/banshees shenanigans. Anyways, making a 4th queen at your nat after taking your third will be highly beneficial.
In case of a 3CC build, drone up and spend your gas on upgrades -> lair -> banneling nest -> (overlord speed) -> spire and play standard.
In case of hellions/hellbats/banshees shennanigans, spend your gas on banneling nest -> lair and make some queens (and spores in case of banshees). Defend the pressure with queens and bannelings. Add an overseer to your queens control group when lair is done.
From there, try to re-scout his main to see if he's going mech or bio, and decide on your t2 tech at that point.
hey my friend is in EU platinum top 8 with over 900 points and no bonus pools. He playes diamond and high platin players. I always thought you get promoted with 800 points. any ideas?

That's not a question about strategy...
But there's no amount of points that will get you promoted. You just need to play more and wait for the system to check if your MMR is high enough to get promoted.

Hmm about 6 minute well, at that time u should have the bane nest ( start at 5min ) then u can defend it easy Me personally i always make like 10 lings I push, then I start 3rd so i can delay his 3rd like 1 - 2 minute... Is all about micro bane-ling

I personally think that is waaaaay to early, unless you are playing vs a gasless zerg. There is no way for you to get ling speed, bane nest, 2 queens, spend all of your larve, AND take a third at 6 min. Especially if you face the 7 min, double gas ling bane all in. Which will just out right kill you.
If you are facing "standard play" meaning, fast nat, ling speed, and bane nest before 5 min.
I would suggest this build.
15hatch 16pool 17gas 16ov 17drone. queen lings (one for scouting, one pair for defending. 21 queen 25 speed 28 two ov's, and bane nest (here you can do a bane all in if you wish, or have the means to defend one) 40 ov assuming you are doing muta play you should do the following 50, lair and 3 more gas, 55ov take third now around 7:30-8 min) you will flood lings and bane nows, to deny the enemy expansion, and also save gas for muta. If they are doing a roach speed timing, you should sac your third, make 6 spines at your nat.

points don't really matter. You will get bumped up when you face 100% of the next league, and beat them most of the time. assuming there is space in the next league. If the league is full, you need to wait for someone to drop out, or next season.

Has anyone been trying out Dark's corrupter style versus bio mine or hellbat marines? I've been loving it. The 6-8 corrupters are just so much more tankier than mutas and pick off medivacs in straight up engages better (At least for me), and all that gas.... Countering and getting to hive is so much easier! The only time I really make mutas now ironically enough is against mech.
Any tips for drive by Hellions? I get wrecked by them every time. It's one of those situations where it's easy micro for Terran and my micro isn't that good.

you mean the ForGG hellions? personally I think it's dumb decision by a Terran almost every time
if you open up with at least 5 queens (and you pretty much should, to have 3 creep/defensive queens), just have around 10-12 speedlings behind them (might want to have a bit more if you're not confident in your micro), so that if Terran tries to run-by, he'll just lose everything and kill only few drones (or sometimes none)
