How is a live cast "so much more fun" anyway? Most of the times when I watch a go4sc2 final/semi there is lag and the players complain, that's not a lot of fun as a viewer. First off, casters doesnt know what games they gonna get, so you gotta switch around 3 casters all the time to see if they have started casting what you would like to see. If it would been livecast, they would say what they are gonna cast next etc.. Secondly people look at their game history and write spoilers in chats. Its also easy to tell that the casters know how long the game is gonna be, so when its close to the end they start "predicting" the winner and you know then its not gonna be some epic comeback. Last but not least- you know its not live. How does it feel to watch a recorded game of soccer even tho you dont know who won?

Unfortunately, the alternative is to allow cheating, and given TL's past experiences with cheaters, I think their decision to cast the last several rounds from replays makes sense. Yeah or they could just have a pretty good idea of who's winning when the game's one-sided, and be able to reasonably predict the winner. Your evidence will be the same, but the explanation is pretty different. It's up to you to decide what the better explanation is! (Hint: Not yours.)

Hotbid just announced it on stream; we have the players playing on guest accounts this time around so GL finding out those details and spoiling the results!

Instead of using guest accounts, why not just designate someone to leave first and play on those locked maps that can't have match history viewed. Players can just gg to signal defeat, and just not leave, but have the designated person to leave first, so it will always show as a win for one player and always a loss for the other, which doesn't spoil anything.

They bug replays. There's no point in having designating players leave, the guest account solution is far more elegant imo since the number of games played is also a spoiler

If it would be at all helpful, I can make the U.S. version of the BO Hider maps end in ties instead of winner/loser. Would be completely spoiler free without the need for guest accounts at every tournament. Just an offer! Edit: Actually, I read that wrong. What's the bug with replays? It could be fixable.

But if you guys are doing it this way wouldn't you need new guest accounts after every TL Open? Seems kind of expensive..

The replay files run, the unit/production/etc tabs still work, the follow cameras still work. If there is a bug and someone can tell me what it is, I can try to find a solution for it and work with Teddyman to make these maps as useful as they can be on both US and EU.
