(now that I've checked TLPD, seems like he's on a 7 game losing streak, which might be a bit of a slump... but we'll get back to this later.). Anyway losing 3 separate Bo1s does not imply a slump. It would be similar to anyone losing 2-0 in a Bo3 and then losing one game in the GSTL. How exactly is losing 2 separate series a slump? And comparing SC2 with football is not a very good comparison. Football games are pure Bo1s (until the playoffs if I'm correct). SC2 games are built on a series of sets, similar to tennis. Also SC2 is a lot more volatile in a sense that in football the chances of the better team winning is higher. Now to get back to whether MKP's 7 game losing streak is a slump, remember that 3 of the losses were against MMA after being 2-0 up. So he went from losing an extremely close match to MMA (who at that time was in his prime), to losing a Bo3, then losing another "technical" Bo3, then losing a closely fought Bo1 to PuMa. That's 4 separate series, 2 of which were rather close. I would hardly call that a slump. I wouldn't call 2 series a slump. In fact I never said two series would be a slump. But looking at his play lately and looking at his results as well, he is in a slump right now. He's made quite a few mistakes and hasn't been playing too well. But remember, MKP always goes into a slump after getting far in a GSL. He's been doing this since January. And I don't think you understood the football reference. In the NFL there is a thing called the Superbowl hangover in which after you win the Superbowl or get to it, you don't perform as well next season. Which in MKP's case is pretty much spot on with what happens with him. I mean look at it. January GSL? 2nd place. March? Doesn't make it out of groups. WCs? 2nd place. May? Doesn't make it out of groups. ST? Bo4. July? Doesn't make it out of groups. This is the classic MKP slump that's been happening all year. Also I meant to say matches instead of days in my last post.

I wouldn't say it's a slump still. It's more of just the general state of SC2 where top players still struggle to dominate over long periods of times due to just how many top tier players there are. I still think a slump is a consistent and noticeable drop in form, in which 3 series are hardly enough to make any conclusion on. Anyway, I've sort of made my point, so I'm leaving this debate.

Yeah this is just now obviously just clashing opinions. This is in no way a large slump, it's just a small one that he always has. I think what happens is that people either find him out, or his emotions have an effect on him. Like getting that far and then losing can take a heavy toll on you emotionally. I know that far too well from personal experience. Either way it happens all the time for him, he'll be back to his normal self next event.

PuMa was a former BW B-teamer on eSTRO, who was always hyped for being extremely good and having the potential to be a top tier players. He was one of the most notable practice partners in BW and people like Flash would practice with him. He had one problem though. He had nerve issues which prevented him from being very successful both in BW and SC2.

I wouldn't be so quick to say so. He's been playing SC2 for a long time already and has appeared in previous GSTLs before. He's been active since around GSL 2 or 3 and has never made it. But he's been having a very good streak recently, so maybe next Code A? By "new MMA" I mean great performance on the Team League (and perhaps single as well).

People have been bashing MMA for weeks now, and I'm getting sick of it. I guess just try to ignore fail trolls from now on. In fact I'm deleting the quote you responded to. And seriously why pick on Puma now? I mean if people are mad Prime/MKP lost, tell them to play better instead of harping on the winner.
