He beat MVP months ago 2-1 but MVP wasn't really doing good back then. 14 wins, and 17 losses in tvt overall, meh. I'd say he's by far the least likely to beat MVP or win this season. - MMA beat MVP in some online tournament (very little stock in these) iirc and went 1-2 against him at MLG anaheim. Sounds decent, but then you look at how MMA plays in tvt. Sometimes it's very good, others not so much (especially against polt for some reason...). His series against Clide and asd was very underwhelming as well, he almost got knocked out. Meanwhile MVP has had almost nothing but tvt and has consistently been doing well in it (including beating bomber 2-0 this season). I expect at best 2-4 for MMA if he goes to the finals against MVP. - Then there's happy. Dunno the extent of his skill in tvt because he's kind of new, but he seems very good in it. He might have an added advantage against MVP as well since he trains with him. Probably similar results to MMA if he goes to the final though. Ah, very good points... MVP should have a decent advantage. MMA has shown, as you mention, to just utterly fail at times. Recently he's not owning his opponents either who aren't particularly known to be good at TvT... like clide, wtf? lol

He could be referring to MKP vs MMA in the Super Tournament. MMA lost in disastrous fashion in the first 2 games, but managed to comeback. Later on in the finals, the same thing happened with Polt but this time, he got 4-0ed. I consider MMA the favourite against Happy but it's by no means a done deal.

I might be interested in a TvTvTvT semifinal if the players were, for example, MVP, Bomber, MarineKing and Nada. Whether its their skill, their style or their name value, at least there's something that distinguishes them from one another. With MMA, Ganzi and Happy, not so much. I know a bit about MMA from seeing him in other tournaments, and I know of Ganzi from Brood War, but overall I feel that any of those three players could have been replaced with any of the other Terran players in Code S and I wouldn't have cared less. Swap out Happy for Virus, asd, Supernova, Noblesse, Keen, I couldn't tell. Happy came this far by facing nothing but non-Terrans, so I don't know if he's even capable of matching up to MMA or Ganzi. He could be. I don't know. The problem is that because Terran is so strong, it's easy for unspectacular Terrans to make it far. They just have to beat Protosses or Zergs or other unspectacular Terrans who made it thus far the same way. Kinda like how Inca made it to a final by beating mostly Protosses and then got smacked hard when he came up to an actual threat, Ganzi and Happy made it to the semifinals by beating mostly non-Terrans and I expect them to be likewise smacked hard when they come up to an actual threat. MMA at least had to come up through other Terrans, so I have to expect he's actually capable enough. I guess I'll be rooting for him to make it to the finals then. But MVP, we know he has the actual skills to make it to the finals without Terran imbalance. So the problem is that we're in the semifinals here, and aside from MVP I don't even know if those players are going to be competitive. I'm just expecting MVP to walkover everyone from here, where's the excitement in that? If I want to see MVP's TvT, why not just rewatch last season's finals?

Considering MVP walks over everyone right now regardless of what race they play what difference does it make if his opponents are Terran Zerg or Protoss. If you're so convinced that MVP is just gonna stomp over the other 3 guys that made it this far, what makes you think watching MVP dominate someone else that plays another race would be any more exciting?

Because, first off, I don't believe MVP walks over everyone. I mean, je just had a very close series with NesTea. From this, there are two points: 1- If Terran were not so strong, then he might have a more even fight with the best players of the other races. 2- If Terran were not so strong, then a Terran player could not 'luck' his way into the semifinals by facing non-Terrans. This would mean that even if we still had TvTs, at least we could be confident that those players would be at a higher calibre. So this would greatly increase the odds of having a more serious adversary in the finals/semifinals.

Swap out Happy for Virus, asd, Supernova, Noblesse, Keen, I couldn't tell. I don't agree with the rest, but this part I feel the same on. GSL gets to the point where the lineup looks like this to me: MVP vs. terran no. 7 terran no.11 vs. terran no. 17 terran no. 9 vs. Nada Bomber vs. terran no. 13 There are some terrans who are always interesting to look out for whether due to background, skill, or play style in tvt: - MVP: He's the best terran - MKP: Will he ever get 1st? Or is this yet another 2nd place? - Ryung: tvt specialist. Even though clide took him out, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. - Nada: Consistent BW legend. Hoping for the day he gets up there with bomber and mvp - Bomber: Exceptional player like MVP in tvt For everyone else though, it's usually just a sea of who gives a shit. There might be exceptions for particular seasons: clide finally getting past the ro16, Byun turning into a super-gosu for a season to get his puppy, or a potential ryung vs. MMA match considering their rivalry. But, generally the rest are not consistently distinguishable enough in skill, background, or play style to really make me care about the outcome of their tvt. oh, and bio vs. bio fucking sucks to watch. I thought after the patch it might be better because the matches wouldn't take an eternity. Only now do I realize how much better the mech dominance was, felt much more tactical. Though, I don't play terran, so I suppose for those that do it's a good learning experience as well as........entertainment -_-. edit: oh yea, I forgot about the Keen's obsession with Nada. That's always fun to watch. Will he ever beat him xD?

I don't understand why people are angry at the GSL for the racial distribution. How is it AT ALL their fault? Or should they only let Terrans apply for Code A on alternating months? I'm sure no one is going to be upset then.

It sounds like you are just upset because you think terran is OP and the remaining players are not top 1-2 of their respective races. Were you complaining when Nestea was beating scrubs to the champion?

Its what a 12hour flight from the US to Korea? He should be better rested for the semi-final against Happy, but Happy sort of has his number Should be good to watch either way
