Yeah certainly going for big money, considering his contract at least 15 million and hopefully 20. Though preferably I would like to keep him next season, if we keep this squad together and a striker we could possibly win the title next season.

Yeah, I too hope he stays for another year, especially now that the midfield is more of a strength. If Clasie does stay and we get a solid striker for next year then I would actually expect them to seriously challenge for the title and would be disappointed with anything less.

One of my favorite players. He's looked like a really well-rounded midfielder this season, and as he showed here and in the qualifying phases, he has quite a fierce shot.
I'm not a Gladbach supporter, but at least they were able to save some of the Bundesliga's pride in this round of European fixtures.

El Ahmadi's goal
This guy is pretty good.

Yea, the BL disappointed this matchday. I guess you could chalk it up to the fact that pretty much all of them have guaranteed their qualification spots and 1st seed positions (except Schalke and Wolfsburg, shame shame), but still, you'd hope to see a better performance than this.

Any other team with strong front line would expose Monreal and Mertesacker many times already. Mkhitaryan in current form just doesn't cut it. I don't want to point out the obvious here, but when players leave for lesser clubs while holding their own in the top teams of the world, obviously they're gonna shine. Fabregas has played well for Chelsea, but no better than he did at Barça. He also has way more space in the BPL because it's a more offensive/easier league for a player with his specific qualities. Trading Alexis for Suarez is all politics though. I don't think either is better than the other. Suarez was the best player in the BPL, now Sanchez has taken over the throne. I don't think there's much difference in skill between the two. Unless Suarez starts banging in 30 goals a season, I wouldn't call him better than Sanchez.
They have a shit back line after puyol left and more than enough meat in the midfield and beyond. Why would they aimed for Suarez when they don't even need him? At best it's a minimal upgrade over sanchez, and he too will faced the same issues sanchez had during his time in Barca. He'll get shoved wider for Messi and he's gonna bitch.
Same with Cesc and Rakitic. Barca played Cesc as the third-wheel midfielder that basically is the team's bitch and does what is needed because no one wanted to touch good ol' Xavi, and he's not even bad at that job. But then they trade him away for who essentially will become a lesser version of Cesc, and Xavi isn't getting any younger.
And as I'm typing this reply Barca's center backs still suck dicks. Why didn't they just find a couple decent centerbacks instead of just buying players that doesn't even do anything for their team?

Speaking of barca isn't Thomas Vermaelen out for like 5 months after hamstring surgery (right after making his return to training)? Not sure where I heard that but pretty sure it wasn't mentioned here. Pure genius by Arsene to get rid of him really.

Barcelona supporters are quite angered with the Vermalen transfer. They booed Zubizarreta and Bartolomeu the other day, and many of them want to call early elections. The fact is that the actual president was not elected, he succeeded Rosell after he left because the neymar issue.
The true is that the transfers have been terrible this last 4 years.

Sometimes I think Guardiola is too smart.

I'd like to see Guardiola in the PL at some point in his career. It would be interesting to see how he'd do.

Basel going to beat Liverpool.

Pep is an average coach, he needs to coach in england to prove himself. Messi mediocre, needs to do it in stoke. Am I doing this right?

Matchday 6!Kick Off 19:45 GMT (+00:00) vs vs vs vs vs vs vs vs Group AAll possibilities can happen in this group in terms of qualification, however Atletico Madrid are guranteed a place in the knock out stages, it is just whether they finish 1st or 2nd. Juventus need at least 1 point to finish 2nd place and a win by 2 or more goals to take 1st place Olympiacos need to beat Malmo and hope Juventus lose to take 2nd place. Malmo can only qualify for the Europa League if they beat Olympiacos Group BReal Madrid are group winners no matter what. Basel need to beat Liverpool to qualify in 2nd place Liverpool need to beat Basel to qualify in 2nd place Ludogorets need to get a win to get in the Europa League if Basel or Liverpool lose. If a draw then they would stay 4th. Group CLeverkusen are through to the next round but can guarantee top seeds if they fail to lose to already eliminated Benfica. Monaco need to avoid defeat to Zenit to stay in 2nd place Zenit have to beat Monaco to replace them as 2nd in the group. Both these sides can win and take top spot if Leverkusen lose to Benfica. Benfica are 4th placed no matter the results. Group DSimple group. Galatasaray are eliminated. Anderlecht confirmed in Europa League. Dortmund need to match or better Arsenal's result to stay top of the group and Arsenal thus need to better the result of Dortmund to take top spot.

go Monaco!!!

Hopefully Leverkusen can win. Pot 1 would be great though I think they're screwed in the last 16 anyway as they'd still be able to draw Arsenal/Barca/PSG/Roma/Man City/etc.

Dortmund STILL starting Mkhitaryan.
Fuck come on Klopp, bench his ass for a while. He doesn't deserve a starting spot.
|
Normally we would trample malmo in our home but we seem to be unable to win even in our league lately, 3 games without a win.

Actually he does. He played well this season, he just failed to score.

Fast start for Arsenal. Podolski and Ramsey scoring. They know they need to improve their goal difference : D
