I mean the whole point of going to Korea is to play the best, and develop as player, but how is desrow going to do that laddering? I mean shit he could do that for his house. And no offense to the other foreigners living in the GOMtv house but he could easily find foreign pros to custom with. I don't understand why someone with no lan results would want to go to korea, spend a shit ton of money and so no more improvements then he could if he stayed home. You don't need to understand it. He wants to go for his own reasons and doesn't need to answer to you. The great thing about the forum is that he isn't talking to Desrow, he's talking to everyone else. So people can have conversations, contrast opinions, etc.

Des! So glad things worked out for you. I wish you the best of times in Korea, it sounds like a great adventure. Keep fighting the odds and living strong. We'll see you at the next level. Cool runnings good man! (peace on your journey)

Damn... this thread is becoming the "call out the person you got a beef with" thread...
Exactly what is this GOM house I hear so much about? Like a hostel for foreign SC players?

It's fine if you don't think he's top notch, but you don't have to post it in his going to korea thread. I'm not for player bashing but I don't think it's very good for threads to all be filled with meaningless optimism and fanboying... This is a forum, and people post opinions. Yes there will be stupid opinions, but unless it's outright insult or something crossing the line like that, you can't (and shouldn't) expect people to not post their opinions. If you wanted to see just gl, etc, better look at the respective fan webpage or teampage... It would be awesome if everyone thought every player was good and was supportive, but that is simply too idealistic and will never happen, especially in a forum where facilitation of voicing opinions, whether they be positive or negative, is important. on topic: good luck to desrow. I don't think he'll make code A any time soon but no doubt he'll benefit a ton from the trip. I know it doesn't have to be all optimism, but people take it too far. The title isn't "Should I go to korea?" , It's "I'm going to korea", so what are negative statements going to do? Nothing. The least people could do is show support, what is accomplished by people going in with negative statements?
You call it negative, we call it realistic. Should I support a manned mission to Mars? Maybe? But it's unrealistic. If people are bashing DesRow for the sole sake of bashing then that's wrong but it's fine to disagree with his move.

Just a house put together by GOM. You have to qualify by being a decent level player and they cover your expenses in the house except for food I believe.

My last post in this thread.
Timeline: Team announces Desrow being sent to Korea. I mistakenly think the team is paying. I suggest he treats it like a vacation. Desrow clarifies that he's paying the majority of the costs. I don't make another post about him and wish him the best.
Not sure how that makes me a douchebag. PM me if you have issues with me. Don't derail the thread please.

Well Desrow likes stealing money from his teams, they probably didnt trust him.

I don't understand. So instead of any discussion on a public forum we should simply have a blind circlejerk celebration over someone going to Korea? Especially someone with such a bad reputation in the community?

Korok is by far one of the best NA dota players of all time and still currently (in HoN). Went to ESWC as a Ringer for The 1 American team 2 years ago.
Hope Desrow's sponsors wise up.

we've been over this over 3-5threads about me. Korok tried to blackmail me for another 300euro because he wasn't satisfied how I distrusted the money. I gave all the money back. I was at fault for not giving it back right away and I won't ever be able to deny that but stop showing up in threads that are about me. You posted like 4times to make sure someone replied to you so you could keep instigating. Move on get a life. Why would I pay another 300euros when I already gave all the money away answer me this?

Desrow You get a life. You've been the biggest bottom feeder over Dota/Sc2 for how long now? You've never made anything out of yourself besides a fool. Your a mid masters player flying over to Korea for what reason? You might be able to beat Slog, thats about it.
Maybe you can steal money from them when they are sleeping.

I fail to see how asking for the money you refused to pay a player is "blackmailing". On top of this not giving the money to the correct player then wondering why someone is mad they never received their money is flat out ignorant on your part desRow.

GL to desrow but i agree that this is not very smart for him with him spending his own money, i see him regreting this hugely

Desrow ended up with the prize money for the tournament that he didn't play a game in, how the fuck did that fail happen. The blame solely on the tournament organizer for not check who is the reliable person that represents each team. If i were desrow I would take the money and never give it back, then change my username to con the next team. If desrow indeed returned all the prize money then he has done good for his reputation, is there any proof of desrow returning the prize money to each player?
