Puzzle and Bomber got group B. Poor MC got group D.
Yeah poor MC got completely screwed. Maybe GOMTV will arrange something? Probably too late now though.
Since games aren't till saturday, I can see MC just skipping the friday stuff, so if he flies out after his gsl matches, he can rest in texas on friday. Still that's going to be some major jetlag, considering he will have come back from NY before his gsl matches too.

He could leave Seoul at ~8 AM KST Friday and get to Austin around noon CDT Friday. So yeah, jetlag would be the major issue.
I had forgotten about Spring Arena 2; it looks like Group C or D in U&D would have been the best for MC anyway looking solely at the match schedules. It looks like GOM took care of the other U&D players in Spring Arena 2 (MMA, Ryung, Killer, Heart, Polt) in this regard as well, considering that none of them got early groups.

That's true, many players might go 0-3 in that group. I think what people take issue with is that there are many more skilled foreigners who didn't get invites (Kas, Lucifron, Thorzain for example). Is is possible for anyone to go 0-3 in that group? Absolutely, but most people would give Kas, Lucifron, or Thorzain much better odds than they would give Lastshadow.

I actually really enjoy the LastShadow pick. We're in this weird situation right now where there are so many tournaments that it's hard to get qualifiers going (I think iNcontroL had mentioned something about this on a recent SotG) because many people simply don't have time to participate in those qualifiers. Therefore, many tournaments are invite based.
More often than not, the same people get selected for invite-base tournaments over and over again, be it because they are the best players, the biggest draws, etc. The downside to that is that you don't get a chance to see some up-and-coming new talent or some of the lesser known players... they don't even have a shot as there's no room in the spotlight. For that reason, I give major kudos for this tournament not only filling up with some big, powerhouse names but also throwing a spot or two out to people that otherwise may continue on into obscurity. It's something like this that separates this tournament from all the other tournaments with the exact same people in them over and over and over again; something like this that makes this tournament a bit more memorable.
Edit: As an extension to the memorability - if someone like Thorzain wins, it'd be a big deal but if some big upset happens and LS DOES do exceptionally well, THAT will give Red Bull some big bang for their buck. It'd be the talk of TL.
No Polish, Ukraine or German pro in there and not even my favorite Korean pro's, make it for me worthless to watch. Seems more like an American promotion-show-thing, than a serious tournament. but anyways everyone who wants to watch this should enjoy it cause i don't want to rain on someone’s parade.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, Stephano, MC, Ganzi, Sase, Puma, Puzzle....total scrubs. I wouldn't take it seriously either.......
I do believe Whitera was in the list at one point but evidently he bowed out, so it wasn't for lack of trying. I may be mistaken but I swear I saw his face; you'd have to go through the pages to find out for sure.
