Exactly my point - these salaries are at best 2.5x~ more, and only 4 listed pros have salaries higher than Stephano's current one (2.5x, 2.5x, 2x, 1x approx).
And my point was that the KeSPA pros earned more than what the guy I quoted thought they did.
He said 'you could hire most Kespa pros'.
He is entirely correct, as 'all but four (maybe 5 if NaDa's contract was still active)' fits the criteria of 'most'.
I misconstrued what he meant, I thought he was implying that you could hire a team of KeSPA pros for the same price as one Stephano. Not that you could hire a majority of different KeSPA players for the same price.
They might, if they go for B-teamers. The lowest ones on that list are 20k each, and I suspect the other players might be something like 15k, or even lower.

Prove it wrong please so i wont talk about it. I'm not EG fan/hater but every top player who has been signed by them is underperforming. If Stephano joins this trend then there will be no doubt that something is done wrong there. Maybe they pay too much, players are getting too comfortable, lazy... who knows.
I will exclude Throzain from this as he was signed not too long ago.

Pity nobody suggested trying that with IrOn, Zergbong, and Clare a few years back.
There is no EG curse... EG house is like the perfect place for any foreign player to live in. These guys practice hard and play alot, despite what one might think. They put a LOT of time with starcraft2 related stuff; their life is e-sports.
Take incontrol for example. Daily stream, few hours a day on avg. Appears on the two biggest foreign SC2 talk shows all the time, is great at plugging in sponsors and even work as a host and caster sometimes in some big events in europe.
There almost always an EG member streaming games any time, any day. And when they stream, you can see that bunch of guys are practicing hard. They play alot.
But also, they are human, and they know how to have fun. Ppl expect them to be as hardcore as Korea practice houses, but comon.. Theyre Americans... Europeans... There is a big difference in Korean culture and American culture...
Very very few foreign players could live in an environment like those hardcore team houses in korea... at least for a longer period of time. Most would end up depressed, and it would just be counter productive...
At the highest level, one factor to success that ppl seem to forget: Happiness.
If your depressed and unhappy with yourself or life, you wont do good.
Ill promise you one thing. Stephano would not have as good results if he practiced 12 hours a day on a hardcore house like those korean ones for a longer period of time. He would get burned out of the game, be unhappy... and lose passion. Once you lose passion its game over.
EG is perfect fit for him, friendly, laid back team house that know how to have fun and party. He gets along very good with probably almost everybody in there and needs his fun to stay happy.
EG curse you say? I think he might prove you all wrong. EG is by far the best place to be for most foreigner gamers.
Remember: Once you got the skills and potential, key to success is happiness. Its even more important than practice.

Well, not everyone who switched to SC2 early became successful. There's quite a few who fell off the map as well. If someone can just see into the future and see which player will be successful in a few years, and picks up all the Taejas wannabes......

It's because Idra, Puma, and Huk won a few tournaments, you now expect them (with devious intentions) to win everything, and are glad to bash them when they aren't winning everything. It's called confirmation bias.
good for stephano, he is really the only play outside of korea worth that kind of money, hopefully he doesnt get dragged down by the eg curse like huk did and become a medicore player. and he needs to get his ass to the gsl

Prove it wrong? How about your claim is only related to one, MAYBE two. You could say that about any team, people just happen to pick on EG because they're the most out spoken.
People in this forum is really saddening sometimes.
