Why does it seem like half the foreigners are trying to be progamers while in school? What is the point? They can't possibly be competitive with the koreans like this...

The tweet says he's going during may, which is when school is off (assuming he isn't taking summer school, which he has been doing in the past), which makes it seem more real. If it is a joke, wouldn't you want it to seem real, and not blatantly obvious? Even if I'm wrong, so what? Nothing. I'm not buying it. o.O ok sorry, lol. My family lives in Canada, I happen to be in the US. I could have also said central, south america, and mexico, but I happened to go with the country I'm in. I'd also have been forgetting any number of islands like Cuba etc. I didn't look at where you live. I'm not disputing your ability to not buy it. You're more than welcome to do so, I was simply stating evidence as to why I could see it being real. Plus, this isn't cruel, funny, or otherwise interesting. I don't think it would make a very interesting april fool's joke. On april 2nd, EG is like "lol april fools," but who cares? Obviously he isn't going to win GSL anytime soon, but he's also not a full time progamer.

I'm just saying that the foreigner scene will never keep up if they do not fully dedicate themselves. Sure, maybe they get the last laugh when they have good careers to transition into later in life but in the mean time they will be mediocre pro gamers. I'm fine with people wanting to transition in life I just want to see some more committed players.

There is no way you can compete against a korean who is practicing 12 hours and discussing strategies in the teamhouse. I hope Suppy will take this opportunity as visiting a foreign country and that he will enjoy the stay more than Stephano did XD

A lot of foreigners have spent a month or so in Korea: Sjow, Destiny, Grubby, Illusion, State, Drewbie, and probably a few more. 5 weeks really doesn't mean much, on the other hand pros who spend a year or so in Korea improve a lot.

While having a 4.0 at UC Berkley. If you are able to manage both, its the smartest thing to do honestly. Progaming isn't established enough in the west for everyone to justify putting off school.
