All this has unfolded gloriously for Acer. 1) They make an announcement that they will announce a new player soon 2) They have to announce that the last announcement was false and they in fact can't announce it yet (because innovation is still under contract with STX) 3) Then STX announces that Acer has approached Innovation at gamescom without contacting STX, which korean teams don't like at all Well done Acer, way to go to fuck this up. The only way they'll have fucked it up is if they don't get Innovation, lol.

And for not getting to MLG inno can blame himself, he lost 1-2 to Sacsri (Soulkey lost 1-2 to LabyRinth lol, SKT1 player too LOL). IEM is valid point though. Though it does not like he cared at all about it. Well I disagree, trap did great. But come on, the two ace matches against skt1 are clear the true final. And not to mention to have a true ace player like innovation is such a confident boost to the team. Also, inno's lost in MLG was affected by the PL matches for sure, I can believe that he can lost to sacsri if he had even a little time for the preparation. And from the situation here, I can see he does care.

No they have fucked it up for everyone because they didn't properly think it through. If Kespa teams are running the risk of having their star players poached every time they send them to a foreign events, then they will try not to send their players to foreign events. We went through this shit with Puma, this is not how this kind of thing is supposed to be handled.

PL is the major focus for the KeSPA teams. We know this from all the interviews with the players, managers and coaches throughout the years. The team comes first. When a player got far in the OSL/MSL then yes they would set aside time and line-up training partners to make sure that player had the best opportunity of winning. This situation is a little more perplexing considering the STX Brand has been struggling for a while so it's not as simple and straight forward. As for the MVP award. I believe Trap cemented their victory with picking up that win over ZerO in the final. Bogus has been making SK his bish ever since SK came from behind to beat him. I think you could make several cases for the players on the STX Roster. Stars were the team to beat and had one of the strongest line-ups all season. STX really picked it up in the later Rounds to show everyone, "Hey, we have a pretty darn good line-up too."

If woongjin won 4-2 there after losing 2 games i'd bet MVP would go to sOs for same reason of momentum. And MVP was given only for regular season (overall and race ones) and formal final.

I agree man. The Trap victory over ZerO was pretty instrumental in securing the victory over Stars.

Kespa weight PL way more than Individual leagues. the problem is, does the sc2 scene agree with this now. Korean sc2 scene is not as big now. The future lies in international scene. innovation clearly is not on such big contract with STX as Flash does. This team league/individual league thing got into his mind, that's why he agreed on joining Acer.

But I would still say innovation is the true backbone of the team. Unfortunately, over the years, people would remember the MVP instead if innovation's stunning performance throughout the whole season. The thought might run through innovation's mind that he feel unfair, which is, unfair.

Anyway, I'm sure more and more top Koreans will sign for teams that will allow them to go to foreign tournaments in the future. Just look at Jaedong... Signing for EG was the best decision he could have taken. He achieved so much: won lots of moneys, he's basically qualified for Grand Finals, travels all over the world and is pretty much the Korean with the biggest foreign following every where he goes. And besides that he seems to have found the passion for the game again, he seems to genuinely enjoy the game now. And now look at Flash, who was pretty similar to JD when he left for EG. Compare their last year and see what's better for the players.

We went through this shit with Puma, this is not how this kind of thing is supposed to be handled. Then that would be a moronic overreaction by KeSPA. Remember when everyone said, "Koreans will no longer attend foreign events!" when EG snatched up PuMa? Take a look at the situation now. Are eSF Koreans (who are in the biggest danger of being snatched up due to their finances) no longer attending foreign events? Please. Just provide for your players' financial stability, and the likelihood of being blindsided by a deal like this will drop drastically. If STX weren't falling apart, then I highly doubt Innovation would decide to leave. Would Flash leave KT? Of fucking course not, he gets a huge salary and many perks besides that. This isn't to say that Acer behaved perfectly, because they absolutely should've contacted STX. But did they "fuck this up?" No, unless they don't get Innovation. Given that STX is handling this professionally (lol, Coach Lee), I think this will be resolved peacefully (and I would hope they don't decide to force Innovation to stay just because they're salty).
