While nominations for the TLCMAT have concluded, there is still some work to do before the full tournament begins. As there were a total of 80 nominations, we first went through the War for 64 to figure out who got the coveted 64th spot (Plexa). Now that it has concluded, those remaining don't have much time to gain support, whether it’s through propaganda, shameless self promotion, or actual content.
Since the other active thread is cluttered with voting and general questions at the moment, I am creating a place to hold TLCMAT-related discussion similar to lichter’s previous discussion/propaganda thread. Here, you may discuss anything about the fabulous people in this contest. Share your favorites, whoever you think will win, or the people that no one should vote for. Additionally, if you are competing, introduce yourself and talk about why you are currently more awesome than anyone else on TL!
The present voting thread can be found here. Rules and nominees can be found here.

You guys like passion, right? For every round I advance I will write a battle report of a really cool or funny game.
If you vote me to each of the following rounds, I will additionally provide the following:
RO32: [G] Battlecruiser rush and other Templar-esque builds
If I make it to the RO32, I will write an in-depth guide to my infamous 1-base BC, as well as other various builds that I enjoy unleashing. You may think that this is a disappointing reward for voting me, even if it is just one round in, but I have an incredible number of absolutely ridiculous builds, including a few that I have never even dared use. There will hopefully be one per matchup (I play random, so nine).
RO16: SPECIAL
You’ll have to vote me to the RO16 to see what this is. It's worth it.
RO8: AMA
I will post an AMA in blogs and will answer every single question. I will not dodge or give an insufficient answer on any of them, so you’re free to ask any deeply embarrassing question you want. While I am open to providing answers to questions, I will not provide pictures of myself, talk about someone else’s personal details, or share my skype/phone number/address etc. with the rest of the forum.
RO4: Explanation of why Scarlett > TaeJa
You know you want to see this. It will be the length of a normal TL article and will be totally serious.
Finals: 6 hour Templar-cheese streaming session
I will try to only use builds similar to those that I posted in the RO32. If I get interrupted during the six hours, I’ll stream a bit longer to make up for it. Since I’ll probably run out of ideas/get bored halfway in, it isn’t unlikely that I will improvise incredibly stupid stuff in the later half, especially as it will likely be late at night.
Win: Entirety of TL gets to decide my signature.
I post more than just about every single person on TL. You can decide what humiliating, hilarious, or weird signature I’ll have for nearly a year until the next TLCMAT begins on May 16, 2016. I will not accept inappropriate or explicit signatures. The signature will be in the following format:
Do you guys like Proleague? Well if you do, you probably want to thank me for contributing to, if not soloing PL coverage EVERY WEEK OF THE 2015 SEASON except for Week 6 of Round 1 and 2. Did you like the snark and bias of the Progress Reports from Round 1? That was all me. Did you hate them because I always shit on Prime? Toughen up, you know they deserved it. Same with Flash. Did you like the terrible puns with players' names and sometimes obscure references? Most likely me.
Also, I am officially the #1 CJ fan (here is a random selection instances of herO being adorable (in terrible quality) and a gif of Bbyong dancing + Show Spoiler +
), unequivocally demonstrating my love for the entire team. You might think the pinnacle of fandom for a team is Lorning with Prime, but that's just because he posts so much whining about their failures and the shit they rightfully take for it. I am silent about my fanhood of CJ, watching every game and stockpiling every bit of information about them in my mind but never feeling the need to out-cheer anyone. Plus, what kind of CJ fan would I have been if I hadn't predicted EffOrt to advance from his group with sOs, Classic, and Shine? The preview The reaction
Here you can see my twitter with a herO profile pic because let's face it, I'd rather look at his than mine.
Did you catch it? Those are the types of puns I love to incorporate into my writing. More can be found here, along with some MarineKing mockery!
Finally, not to profess my love of CJ as much as to just give you a laugh, I have written a herOtic poem. It is mildly NSFW and absolutely terrible by every possible criterion for judging poetry. Soularion would probably puke in disgust (as if his poetry is any better lol + Show Spoiler +
just kidding I love you buddy
), and those 12 English majors we have floating around would probably punch their monitors. Seriously though, it's so fucking bad and stupid you might not actually want to read it if I have already made a good enough appeal to you. The poem: (btw I never edited this) + Show Spoiler +
Oh that charming smile on his precious face Could heal any broken heart--except those he breaks. Falling at the final hurdle, a supply block in the ace, Every part of my dedicated fanhood cries, aches.
By now I know he doesn't like to find Two gateways in his main-- So I give him one gateway, when he is behind, And he relieves his pain.
Then I put two in front of him; He hunches over and groans. I can sense his anger filling to the brim-- We feel the rattle of each other's bones
His face is like sunshine, and his play is like gold, While I enjoy his company, watching him grows not old.
More to come if I advance! (if it's well received)
Additionally, I have just recently gotten into making collages. I made this for my friend's birthday, and she absolutely loved it. IF you can prove that you voted for me every step of the way until the finals I will make a collage for you with the SFW subject matter of your choice (yes, this includes some images of k-pop girls) and a personalized message (or you can substitute a message you prefer)! No more than 5, I will randomly select via PM with proof of vote for all 5 rounds, if necessary.
IF I advance to the Ro32, PM me with proof of your vote. I will randomly select one person and I will give a severely biased perspective on their favorite team for the next coverage of Proleague.
#Promises in summary: Ro32: Proleague article bias
Ro16: AMA within reasonable limits of privacy (no pictures, personal information, etc).
Ro8: Community decides!
Ro4: Secret!
Finals: Personal collage for my dedicated voters (maximum of 5, by random selection if necessary)

If I beat R1CH, I will stream 12 hours next week doing whatever you want me to do, sc2 or not. I have an assortment of games, photoshop and more. I can even play scary games with cams so you have laugh at my girly screams. TL plays wintex.
If I advance to the ro32, I will write a girlblog only some people know of. It features handshaking.
If I survive for longer than Shellshock, Lorning, Stuchiu, Dodgin, DarkLordOlli or some other guy like KAG or Blindrawr (only one of them), I will create 5 horrible abominations on photoshop (I'll photoshop their faces on kpop girls together with their favorite players.)
I'd create a ro16 goal, but I don't believe that much. I guess I can make a lovesong for some random player of TL`s choosing. Ayy Men.
The question echoes in a crowded, stunned-silent room of believers. It is not a question that those not affiliated with TeamLiquid.net's darker side can be blamed for, however. To the average TLer, a glimpse at Wreak's profile will only tell them that he joined TeamLiquid.net on the 27th of June 2011, yet has only notched a sum of 26 posts during his tenure. Upon further inspection, one can notice a connection with Wreak and the anime sub-community through his posting history, and that is where the story begins.
The early days of Wreak were far from heralded. During the era of Zergneedsfood's (znf's) reign as the undisputed moe emperor of TeamLiquid's Anime Discussion Thread (TLADT), the young college student from Vancouver found his way onto TLADT's IRC channel as a League of Legends fan and ever-so-casual anime viewer. As such, he flew well below the radar of many, and was the epitome of "just another guy."
To be fair, in an era where most conversations segued into a discussion of znf's moe, there were very few who could be considered more than "just another guy." It wouldn't be long, however, until Wreak's true nature would be visible to those around him.
I first started noticing Wreak as he exhibited a naturally aloof and amicable demeanor amongst a sea of ego and animosity. In an environment where arrogance and conflict ruled dialogue--where lolis were lewded and waifus were slain daily--Wreak emerged as the lone bright spot as an individual who got along with all, creepered none and glorified real-life redheads.
Wreak would not officially cement his position as #1 until the community witnessed first-hand his heroics during TLADT stacks in games such as League, DotA 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Once again, I must stress the amount of ego and arrogance that courses through the veins of the patrons of TLADT. Before the glory days of Wreak, matches were more likely to end with arguments and vitriol than anything else.
The W-God would never have any part of that, however.
Wreak was (and still is) the kind of person who remains optimistic and focuses on his game. The signature "Wreak #1" moments have Wreak battling against the odds when his team has prematurely given up.
"I remember when we were playing League and... and everyone on the team was feeding and getting destroyed across the map," said rabidch, one of Wreak's most loyal disciples, as he fought back tears. "We were all down on ourselves, and then, out of nowhere--really, just out of nowhere, Wreak jumped onto the other team, alone, and got a penta-kill as Xin. It was... it was amazing. Afterwards he continued to single-handedly slay the other team, and we ended up winning."
Such moments are too common when playing with W-God. I myself remember many times where people on the team, including myself, would argue with one another mid-match, and Wreak's extremely calm and soothing voice would interject with a simple suggestion before he would once again carry the team to victory.
Since then, Wreak has been known to be anything and everything to TLADT. He brings balance to an extremely egocentric community and is a major factor in enabling virulent weebs to game with one another without slandering a waifu in the process.
"Nnn... what the f..." A groan escaped Souma as his eyelids slowly rose to make way for the illuminated blue sky hovering above him. For one reason or another, he was lying on his back on what he assumed to be sand from the soft yet sparingly rough texture embracing him from beneath. The not-so-young-getting-pretty-old male's legs slightly buckled as he struggled to pull himself up. His entire body was aching, yet the pain was hardly felt due to a dulling sensation in his brain. His head must have taken quite the impact along with his body.
He scanned his surrounding, yet with his vision a bit blurry all he could grasp was that he was on a beach. The sound of waves and the smell of sea water confirmed this.
"Well, that explains the sand. Where the hell am I?" His mind began overclocking as he attempted to piece together the last moments before his consciousness left him. I was on a plane... on my way to Japan. What the hell happened?
Then it hit him. He was not alone on that plane. He and an online acquaintance of his decided to take a trip together to visit a mutual acquaintance that was now studying in Tokyo. The memory prompted Souma's vision to clear as he frantically searched about for his travel companion.
"WREAK! WREEAAAK!" Souma's voice blasted out into the open air, yet was not received by a response.
*Plop*
The not-so-old-still-pretty-awesome male stumbled over a hard object sticking out of the sand.
"ack!" He spat out a mouthful of sand while pulling himself up onto all fours. His head turned to glance back at whatever he tripped over. It seemed to be a bulge covered in some blue denim fabric.
"Wreak...?" Souma crawled over to the object with a look of skepticism painting his face. What was protruding out of the sand was definitely denim, yet the rest of whatever it was seemed to be buried beneath the sand. Souma immediately began to excavate the surrounding area in hopes that it was indeed Wreak.
His prayers were answered. The sand covering an area about a couple feet away from the protrusion was eventually brushed off to give way to the familiar features of his Chinese friend. Souma let out a sigh of relief and dug out the rest of Wreak's body. He wasn't buried very deeply at all, so it took very little effort for our not-so-strong-still-pretty-manly protagonist.
As for the protrusion? Well...
"How in the world can you be having a wet dream in a situation like this!?" Souma questioned as he kicked the tip of Wreak's erection. Wreak, with a goofy smile spread across his lips, merely turned onto his side and murmured, "nyuu... blahzor..." Souma, taken aback by the unexpected whisper, stood frozen in place while he tried to decipher the meaning behind Wreak's murmur.
"You're kidding me..." Souma tried to restrain a mixed bowl of laughter, disgust, surprise and pity. He picked his foot up again, but this time used it to give Wreak's back a slight push in an attempt to wake him up. "Wake up, dude!" Wreak refused to wake up. Instead, he just returned to sprawling out on his back, the same, goofy smile still plastered over his face.
"Ugh..." Souma hated waking people up, for he himself hated being woken up, and could only empathize with the unpleasant feeling of being forced awake. What would happen next could have been a result of this, or it could have been because he was still feeling a bit odd due to what had happened. It could have been due to Souma's sometimes twisted personality, or it could have been a mere whim. It could have been a combination of some of these or all of these. Never the case, what would happen would not be pleasant for Wreak.
As the idea came to our not-so-gay-still-pretty-homo protagonist, his lips formed a mischievous smirk. Souma subsequently pulled his pants down and got on his knees beside Wreak's left hand. The beach breeze caressed his buttocks beneath the thin fabric of his boxers while simultaneously sending a tingling sensation across Souma's Junior. And with a daring lurch forward, our still-not-so-gay-still-pretty-homo hero planted his not-so-small-still-pretty-Asian sidekick straight onto Wreak's opened palm.
*Plop*
Like a newborn baby, Wreak's fingers curled around the limp tool of the heavens. Souma concentrated his focus on holding back his laughter as Wreak miraculously began to open his eyes.
Souma, with both hands pressed against his own mouth to conceal his cackling, made eye contact with the poor young male.
"Souma...? Huh...?" Wreak had no idea was going on, and Souma was in no condition to talk. The confused Wreak finally took his eyes from Souma's face to his own hand.
"..."
".."
"."
"WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF"
Souma fell over backwards, arms clasped around his stomach as laughter dwarfed the sound of the tumbling waves, the cries of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the bumbling of Wreak's hysteria.

Ro32: You get to add me on snapchat if you PM me about it. Trust me, you want in on that.
Ro16: I will write a blog about PvP that will convince every last one of you that it's the best mirror matchup.
Ro8: Girl blog. Much has been hinted at over the years but the answers will (mostly) be revealed.
Ro4: I will actually buy decent internet and do a 24h streaming session where you can watch me play protoss and pretend that my race is more beautiful than the other two. I'm quite good at it (the latter). I will also invite all my favorite TL people to join me on skype and in games.

Hey guys I'm Jer99 and I do some Terran things for TeamLiquid. Some of my work includes the Terran KBBQ, an INnoVation strategy spotlight, and afewBlizzconpieces. Now with legacy of the void around the corner, my passion is at an all time high. Want to see more cool Terran stuff? Of course you do! Here are some things I will be releasing should the goals be reached:
Ro32:
Did you guys like the TvT guide? Should I make it into the Round of 32, I’ll be releasing a second part, which goes into much more depth about everything that isn’t the early game, e.g. mid game compositions, positioning of units, end game strategies and much, much more. [est. Completion time: end of May]
Ro16:
If I make it into the Ro16, I’ll release a strategic editorial about the perfect Terran. Who could it be about? What constitutes being perfect? These questions can only be answered if I make it into the Ro16! [est. Completion time: Pre-WCS S2 finals]
Ro8:
Don’t you guys just love Terran as much as I do? If I make the Ro8, I’ll allow for the community to vote for three Terran players, and from there I’ll take each of their best/most entertaining game and break them down à la game analysis. [est. Completion time: Summer]
Ro4:
If I make it into the Ro4, I’ll let the community vote on a Terran GSL winner and analyze their entire run through the GSL, breaking down every detail into why they won, what separated them from their opponent, what they contributed to the meta that season etc etc. [est. Completion time: Summer]
Finals:
This is where it gets good. If I make it into the finals, I’ll allow the community to vote for a costume for me to wear, and I’ll enter the cosplay contest at Blizzcon! Of course it has to be at least semi-related to the Blizzard universe, and as long as it’s close enough I’ll wear it!
Win:
If I win, I’ll have another Big Night Out, this time with more alcohol, more shenanigans, and less hospital trips! Of course I’ll blog about it, there will be many more pictures, and maybe this time I’ll remember it.

Nice try but your threats are meaningless to me.
Although you're a qt so I might vote for you anyway.

If I win I will cast and analyze two games in depth. One will be the time I beat Olli in PvP on New Polaris Rhapsody and the other can be a game where Olli bops me of his choosing. There are a lot of those

Uvantak, make a map named after me, and I'll rally people to vote for you (alongside me). Let's have a Latin American finals! EDIT: you have a pretty good argument in your favor.

It's not enough to say "I could learn how to do something if you vote me" in this competition. I am already working on my battle report and amazing Templar-build guide for when I advance and Plexa is already more awesome than at least 99% of TL.

Zealously is very influential. He knows about all the embarrassing details of us writers.
Find some time and give me more votes please. I spent all night working on working on heroes of the dorm content, wrote a news piece for Brood War, and Monday prepare for on sight coverage for league of legends LCS mid-season finals. I need my moral to remain high. Keep BisuDagger happy!

All the puzzle piece people are unsung heroes. PhiLtheFisH bracket contest tool creator, he helped set up semantic media wiki on the wikis which gives us opportunities for making data more accessible which has led to automatic features, like tournaments getting added to the tournament list, all the cards on Hearthstone being part of semantic so we can easily make lists of cards based on almost any criteria. Yhamm has as the image he posted done the most edits on Liquipedia (38k). He's often in contact with tournament organizers to make sure we don't have incorrect info during big group stages like at say DreamHack. FO-nTTaX does awesome template and js stuff, he has also made the cross tables and the page wide highlighting besides making it possible to post part of liquipedia onto TL/LD/LH so groups and brackets can be posted in the OPs or LR threads. (12k edits but his bot has 27k edits) ChapatiyaqPTSM is the person in charge of the SC2 wiki, he's also created lots of tools to make the wiki more understandable, like the site that tracks edit across all of our wikis that Yhamm took a screenshot from. He's also made the wikis more mobile friendly (with some help from FO.) (and 18k edits) NovemberstOrm Has done 18 k edits and was the one person who did the most on the Hearthstone wiki before we launched it gaining him a golden card cause he was that awesome. He's also a banling and for some reason chose to have that icon instead of the liquipedia one, but he's part of our staff. Clubfan Likes semantic media wiki, and has implemented some of it on the SC2 wiki, like map stats, automated tournament lists, and some new features coming soon which will be super awesome. Prech This is the guy who is holding the BroodWar wiki up, need I say more? Maybe I do so here goes: He's got 13k edits on it, putting him at the top of BW editors and he has over 10% of total edits on the wiki. Shloub This is the guy who is holding up the Smash wiki. Leading smash edits with 4k which is 20% of the total edits of it. Elyvilon 10k edits 9k of which are from the Dota 2 wiki, which puts him as the 2nd biggest editor on that specific wiki.
Sadly I don'tk now much about Ver's work on the wiki, since it was before I joined the team but he's still a cool guy.

I feel it is a lot harder for most people to see your efforts as clearly as say the writers or graphics etc. I for one use lickypiddy often enough to appreciate you, but as a whole not so much as individuals who make up that whole, I hope that makes sense without me sounding like a jerk.
For example prior to this post I can tell you DLO: Austrian Protoss Zealously: Life is Love. Life is Life. Templar: He's like 12. Lichter: TAKEOFYOURTHIIINGS stuchiu: The servitor of Evil Etc whereas for lickypiddy, all I knew prior to this post was Chapa: Head Yhamm: I think he is French Nov: oh he is a banling and a lickypiddy guy salle: Swedish MiR so he is basically Zealously (jk ) Elyvilon: He is Dota
You see what I mean, I'm not saying you guys aren't great but I don"t know how to know otherwise.

I'm pretty sure it's at least two and I don't know all of the writers' ages.

Don't vote for blindrawr cause he's a dirty KT fan that doesn't even cheer for Flash. That's like discovering a Brood War fan hates Boxer and wishes Canata played more TvTs. Prech on the other hand, well he once saved 73 children from a sinking boat that was on fire. Once on land he gave each one of them a prime towel to wipe the dirt of with, an oGs to keep them warm, the Starcraft 1 battle chest, and a LoTV beta key.

its not that I don't cheer for flash, I have high expectations(and can you blame me? If you've seen him at his best, you'd understand) and nobody should apologize for him for not reaching those expectations.

So I realize that it's going to be almost impossible for me to defeat Zealously in the Winners' match. HOWEVER, I do have one trick up my sleeve hue hue hue... I really want to advance out of my group as first so here is what I'm offering you guys: If I defeat Zealously in the winners' match and advance out as first, I will return to my original promise of releasing 2 chapters a week for Plexa and Waffles. VOTE FOR SEEKER!!!

Voted for Zealously. If you write 2 chapters a week the quality of your writing will obviously diminish. Writing under time constraints is never a good idea. Clearly Zealously has to win for your own good.

Why would you get a funny reaction out of me? It's true that I shouldn't have to write under a time constraint.

Which Stargate
answer correctly and you've earned my vote
SG-1
I haven't watched any Stargate before now, it's always jsut been there on my watch list. Are Atlantis and that other show any good? Like, is there a point to watching? I'm enjoying SG-1 quite a bit.

Atlantis is definitely as good as SG-1, the first few episodes of season 1 are rocky though. Definitely watch.
Stargate Universe is a disaster, avoid it at all costs.

Unfair! It's not that SGU is bad (although there are bad episodes just as there are in SG-1), it's that it is radically different from SG-1 and SGA. By season 2, it was definitely getting into its own as a pretty good show with a distinct cast of characters and hints of a very intriguing overarching storyline. I would watch it, if only for the off-chance that it may one day return. If it does, I think it has potential to continue building on.

A vote for Soularion is a vote for a potential writer teamkill in the Ro32. A vote for Soularion, Destructicon and Banjoe is a vote for a potential new writer group of death in the Ro32.
I understand that some of you might consider KingofdaHipHop to be somehow superior to me, but his time has not arrived yet. He may understand the ways of LR like few do, but unlike me he is not worthy of being one of the masters. He has not yet learned the ways of dedication, of knowing his schedule in order to avoid responsibilities and passionately LR, nor of being a reliable and consistent OP. These are all evident by his pattern of posting threads. KingofdaHipHop will occasionally step in and give some regular LR person a break, but only for four or so threads.
He additionally recognized my superiority by trying to apply for TL writers and sending an application extremely similar to an article I had recently created. While it showed unmistakable knowledge of both Starcraft and writing, it is clear that he didn't have enough.
Therefore, you must vote for me. KodHH has come a long way in the last year and a half, and don't mistake this post for bashing, but he hasn't earned a status that allows him to surpass me in this contest.
Vote for me so I get into round of 32 and I'll do a "Moving to TLHQ" blog At least an A4 about how it is to move, live, and work there, might even turn into a short series of blogs with new updates less and less frequent as time goes on and there's no new and cool stuff to talk about.
If I get to Round of 16 I'll update the hotbid thread of r1ch quotes with some new r1ch quotes.(if the wizard consents of course.)
Round of 8 = ??
Semis an 8 hour Liquipedia stream, with adding results and templates and probably some really boring(?) janitorial stuff too. (unless Novemberstorm does his 24 hour one, if so then I'll think of something else.)
Finals = ??
And if I win I'll do a girlblog.

Nope. I didn't advance out as first from my Ro64 group so no broken promises here!
I finally finished up my RO32 promises. Please vote me into the RO16 so that I can create and release my special blog, as well as another crazy battle reported game.

I will provide as in-depth of an answer as I can to every question that's asked. Just about any question is allowed, including amazing ones like "why do you want to be a mod?", "how exactly do SetGuitarsToKill and you feel about each other?", and "you have 40k+ posts, could you stop being antisocial and make some irl friends?". Anything deeply embarrassing you can think about is fair game!
*I will not provide pictures of myself, talk about someone else’s personal details, or share my skype/phone number/address etc. with the rest of the forum.
Additionally, if you continue to vote me, there will be the opportunity (if I make the RO4) for you to see a glorious article explaining exactly how Scarlett is a superior player to TaeJa.

If I make the round of 16 - I will write a (semi-realistic) fanfic about a player's journey to Blizzcon 2015, using stats from WCS Predictor! The story will start from the present depending on when I start working on it.
If I make the round of 8 - In similar style to the fanfic, I will make a VISUAL NOVEL VIDEO GAME about a player's journey to Blizzcon 2015
I haven't decided on the players to use yet, but it'll be popular players. And I'll have to think about further rounds but maybe just more fanfics and visual novels if people are interested at all lol.

lol, I'm up for suggestions
See, this guy doesn't even know what you fine TL citizens want, pffft. The rewards should be based on who you are and why you are in this contest.
I would but I already give all the stats that I can think of without having to bribe for votes. I always put everything I can into WCS Predictor. Whatever I give here is bonus stuff.

I voted for you because you're ESPORTS. You also have some sick dedication and WCS Predictor is unique and some next-level shit.
