Everytime I hit F12 to start the recording, xsplit/fme crashes. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance. Edit: So I found out whats causing this crash. If I set "Adjust Mode" under "Video Settings" to Stretch or Extend, xsplit and FME crashes. If I use Crop it works, but the image gets really blurry, and it also removes some of my screen, so I dont get fullscreen. Hope there is a fix to this. -- KimG

Anyone have a stream with the type of quality you can get with only 1mb of upload? I guess dtox's will work for now though (= want to be able to compare quality.

I may buy dxtory if the difference is that significant since Fraps doesn't work well with my laptop.

Also, about your cropping issue, you need it set to stretched, are you making sure to set 'dxtory camera 1' (the dxtory camera you have setup) as your capture region in Xsplit? And yes i am using windowed mode, but Dxtory will capture in full screen mode too. I only capture in windowed because sometimes i switch to a different capture scene in Xsplit before i minimize and capture desktop. Dxtory cannot capture desktop. I have not ticked off 'Synchronize FPS'. Regarding xsplit crashing, that only happens on stretched mode, and yes, I have the right camera in xsplit.

I downloaded the trial yesterday and tested it out in CS:S recording at 100% resolution with 30FPS. I didn't notice any lag in-game, which was really nice since recording with Fraps makes games unplayable. However, after I stopped the recording (recorded to a USB2.0 hard drive), I played it back and found that the FPS in the video was like 1-2FPS at best. Is the issue that the transfer rates over USB2.0 are too slow? Which codec/settings do you use? (could you post a screenshot?) Thanks

It is much better than FRAPS, captures at a much higher bit-rate, HD quality. Except that default FRAPS codec is lossless quality, so you can't get better quality no matter how much you try.

I just use this thread to post my issue. I wanted to start streaming a while ago, but until today I only got ~30-40FPS when streaming with XSplit with current settings. Then I saw this thread and tried Dxtory. So first thing: when I play and start recording per Dxtory my FPS remain at 60 and I got no difference. So now I want to stream Dxtory capture per XSplit. After pressing "start broadcast" my FPS never drop below 50FPS, what should be perfect playable. But mostly I got 60 FPS. Now my problem is, that although I got 60 FPS while streaming the game feels really sluggish/choppy. I think I tried to change every setting in XSplit, but it doesnt get better and I really cant understand that the gameplay feels so cruel with 50-60FPS :/ When I record per Dxtory and stream a blank XSplit scene it remains good, so the problem is XSplit. AMD Phenom II X3 720 @3,0Ghz 4GB RAM Radeon HD 4850 512MB 1,2MB Upload I want to stream in 960x600(8:5), but lowering the resolution to even the smallest makes no difference. None of the CPU, RAM or graphics card are at 100% capacity while streaming. Does anyone know what the problem could be? :/
