So I got a big problem with the data export image section. It started to bug on me with my latest project, Astro Field, and I can't seem to fix it unless I zoom out. Now, here is where my problem is...
In this spoiler, you will see that I've always had the proper settings in the top left box in order to create a proper, high-resolution map overview. BUT.... look to the far right. I am scrolled over as far as I could go, and the image suddenly cuts off: + Show Spoiler +
I tried fixing this and the only solution I came up with is to simply zoom out, so, in the spoiler below, you'll notice the Zoom went from 0 to 55.0. I got the whole map to show, and the left and right sides appeared perfectly fine, but now another problem arises... (see circle in image). I got a huge gap of space on the top and bottom of the map! It looks ugly: + Show Spoiler +
This didn't happen for Scars of Aiur or Antiga Prime. The first screenshots of Astro Field worked fine, then one day it just bugged out on me and I can't get it to go back to normal. To see what the overall image looks like when I generate it with 55 zoom (just to get the whole map to show up), you can see it in my map thread (notice all the space above and below the map in the image): http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=240927
Anyone know how I can fix this?

I'm getting a visual glitch where the terrain texture is stretching up the cliffs.

Anyone know how to fix this?
edit:
Nevermind, apparently I hit "ctrl + t" which made the terrain all wonky.

Got 2 questions:
How do I change the hit points on a destructible rock?
How do I change the vision range of a Xel'naga Tower?

Thanks a lot mode of func!
Follow up question:
Whenever I change anything I get this msg:
[7/11/2011 11:46:28 PM] Map type for 'C:/......./map.SC2Map' has changed to 'Custom' (see Map > Map Status for details)
Chaning it back I get this:
[7/11/2011 11:46:33 PM] Map type for 'C:/......./map.SC2Map' has changed to 'Melee' (see Map > Map Status for details)
I am sure you are all familiar with this right. So let us be honest here; I am shit scared of the data editor and pretty much anything that doesnt involve basic melee map making. Did changing stuff remove the melee tag? It's been debated before what you can change and what you can't, some claim you can change pretty much anything, some say you cant and ummmmm, since I know jack shit myself I am confused at this point! Should I just ignore the status change and go with it or where am I heading right now?
EDIT: Nevermind guys, no reason to turn peanuts into rocket surgery. The simple solution was to publish the map and it showed up as a melee map so I guess we can call it a melee map!

Try checking "Based on bounds" only for Y (or checked on X and not on Y, both might work)

Hi, I have a question about publishing maps. I have two versions of starcraft 2 installed on my computer, and since I installed the second one, which is for an NA account, the map editor seems to be linked to it rather than the EU account, which is the one it was originally installed on. As a result, I seem unable to find a way of publishing maps on my EU account short of uninstalling the NA version each time I want to publish.
Has anyone else had this problem? Hope you guys can help me sort it out.

How do you remove a map from bookmarks?

Any map in bookmarks has a symbol next to it. Click it if it is lit up. That should remove it.

hi all,
i have 1 great question and i am posting it here hoping TL won't ban me yet its something that has been a great concern of mine and i did not find a relevant answer anywhere, so hoping you map people can answer it pretty quickly,
i have seen that in SC2 Editor you are able to get the full HD ( obviously not proper term but you get it ) heroes like Raynor or Tychus and more ...
having those can i create cool cutscenes like in the SC2 campaign ... and i am not talking about the in game unit jumping from place to place like a moon-walker ... i'm talking full animation just like the Tychus vs Raynor battle.
thank you all

thank you all Short answer: yes.
You'd need all the animations though - if you are making a new cutscene, you'd need custom animations. Most of the cutscenes (not, for example, the Zeratul - vs Kerrigan fight) are rendered real-time using the SC2 engine.

thank you iGrok for responding,
a few more please, when you say i need all the animations ... do these need to be ready available in the engine or can be imported from 3ds max ? ... i take it there is a middle layer between the SC2 engine and some 3d development program ? example please,
thank you again

Someone here on TL might be able to give you an answer but for advanced editor stuff and modding I would usualy recommend Sc2mapster for answers. That is where all the mod'ers hang out.

Problem has been solved on my own.

Okay, I have created a custom map in which you have 10 lifes. If you run out of lives, a trigger should end the game. But I need an event for this trigger, does someone know which event I have to chose?
Ah okay. I start this trigger on map initialization, but then I have to make a comparison. Integer(Life) has to be =0. This is the actual problem now.
