Also personally i dont like making distinction between female and male sc2 players, thats not a game in which counts pure physical power so everyone can play it unless females have some mind-related issues which prevent them from getting to masters - and as far as i know there are some girls in masters ( i think one is even streaming on TL ) and gms so there is no proof for such difference.
She's not low-skill. It's been said so many times that Eve is at least Diamond level, which translates to high masters in NA. Again, also please take into account the cultural differences in Korea regarding the internet and defamation before simply applying western standards to the situation.
I highly doubt that korean diamond is high master NA considering people like IdrA and Sheth are high masters in NA.
That would mean that korean players who would utterly DESTROY the foreign scene aren't getting into teams. I find the thought that ~20% of the korean ladder would be NA high master and above ridiculous.

TL what have you become... EVE is underage... what i am reading...Our own community is being stupid day by day. Some of these post are down right disgusting too.
It can hardly be argued that people hasn't overreacted to Eve joining SlayerS. That being said I think there are some valid critisism against her joining.
The fact that she is diamond wouldn't be a problem at all if it was likely that she was one of the better females in korea. But we all know that there are likely hundreds of korean women that are more skilled at the game than her (if not thousands). So why was she chosen over say the highest ranked female on the ladder? Well, Jessica stated in her announcement that they did that partly because of her good looks. If there's anything unfair in this whole situation it's not that some low masters boys/men are not getting into a proteam but the fact that some hard working highly skilled women aren't.
I agree that the threshold for female gamers should be lower due to the cultural differences and the heavily male favor in gaming. But if you're going to invite a woman to a pro team you should do it solely based on skill. To even consider someones physical appearance is downright demeaning to women and probably scares more women away from gaming because they think that they might not be pretty enough. I mean how ridiculous would it be if s team recruited a low masters male gamer and stated that part of why he had joined was his looks. That being said I don't know how much of a part the looks thing played (if any) in the decisionmaking here but it's hard to find another reason seing as her skill is quite clearly not top amongst females.
Again I don't really have a huge problem with this in any way. I take it for what it is. A marketing ploy to get more women interested in gaming. I think it's a positive thing in general. But I don't think they're going about it the right way.
As for the people that blatantly attack and demean women and innocent people in general on the web, well, they are immature little shitheads that should have gotten a better upbringing. But we have to accept that these people are what they are. Taking a rude bastard on the internet seriously is also somewhat gullible. I mean I feel for the people that take a beating from cyber bullies. But at the same time you need to be able to have enough self confidence to shrug idiotic comments off. I generally admire people that allways listen to critisism and try to change for the better but some people online are so unreasonable that you just have to mentally file them into the "moron cabinet" and not pay them any more attention.

IdrA was kicked out of GM due to a mistake I believe. Sheth might have been from inactivity if he got kicked out. Both were at rank 1 of the NA ladder for quite the duration.

PS. she is not actually in diamond league ^^ some1 else played on that to reach diamond. If you wanna see her play you can go check it out by clicking this link Link where she barely beats a silver league player + If you actually check her recent ladder games she loses to silver players with her GOLD LEAGUE account ^^
All and all Slayers_Jessica i don't care if you are filing lawsuits to internet trolls BUT PLEASE at least stop making BULLSHIT excuses about Slayers_Eve joining the team
Your first post might be the worst I've seen of anyone yet. Anyway I'll not bother to read in any of these threads anymore. The SC2 community has turned absolutely shit thanks to pathetic (horrifically misogynistic) losers like yourself.
Thx for reading my post. So you will agree that Vagina rulez

They're high masters because their bonus pool went over the maximum allowed in GM.

eve was the ONLY girl at gsl qualifiers if you didn't know, so maybe if those hundreds of other girls come out in public they will be recruited as well
I'm a bit face-blind, but I don't think that's Eve? Also, Eve plays Terran, not Protoss.

same story for starcraft, there were female progamers playing against male counterparts. maybe its just statistics (low # of female players) but they didn't progress too far except january.
Golf is a physical sport and males are just naturally built bigger than females which gives them an edge. Starcraft is a computer game which is mostly all brain power. There's no a reason a male should have any natural advantage over a female.
Uh I'm sure it applies to Starcraft too. Just the way the male brains work is that generally males have faster reactions and are better at things like strategy/spacial reasoning and whatnot. Not that there are no Females that can compete there will always be a much larger percentage of Males at pro level play. The only thing left out of the equation is the difference in muscle mass.

QFT. Whether he's serious or "loltrolling", people like this are ruining Team Liquid. Thankfully there are still plenty of upstanding people within the community that love Starcraft and choose to push it forward rather than piss on the foreigner scene with this garbage. TL is due for a cleansing, this stuff is trashing the site.
On topic: Awesome post Jessica, it's horrible to hear how terrible some people have been in Korea- it isn't fair. SlayersBoxer will always be an inspiration to thousands of people and we will continue cheering you all on <3
