LOL Slayers literally sent out one race.
Who else do they have?
It just seems like they play their best players.

Please keep the following things out of this topic: -Caster/Stream/player bashing; -Imbalance/race whine; -Premature gg-ing; -any other assorted offtopic negativism and arguments. Quotes with nothing but "lol" and other one word nonsense posts will be warned. Making a full sentence shouldn't be an obstacle for anyone being able to find their way onto this site and actually registering an account. Have fun! ~Nyovne Answer to common question #1 today: Naniwa is on his way to MLG and as such unable to compete today on behalf of F.United.

Not only did SlayerS fail to advance, they used a bad deployment strategy, Ganzi totally failed on himself, and MMA used the worst build I have ever seen him use. Why no 1/1/1 vs MC? Why send MMA out early instead of the closer where he plays best? Why SlayerS :'( To be honest I think if they did try to 1/1/1 MC, he would probably crush it since he faces it so much in competition and most likely in practice and ladder...he would probably have counters to it by now. Only a Terran the caliber of Puma or MVP could probably succeed with it against MC, IMO. Nothing was special about Puma's execution of 1/1/1. In the first game his banshee harass was completely ineffectual and MC held off the push. It was then MC's game to lose, and luckily for Puma he did. I'm guessing that SlayerS didn't use it because A. MC would be expecting it and B. Although strong, it's still inherently risky. Ryung was apparently confident enough in his ability to outplay MC in a macro game.

Just train a few terran killers and you win. Especially since all of their terrans have weak MUs (Taeja is probably the closest to being well-rounded). Team leagues aren't about playing the best players. It's playing the right players. That's why you see stars like MKP/Polt fail in this format while lesser players like RevivaL can beast it up.

Yes. Today's results make everything very simple. oGs wins - oGs advances oGs loses - Prime advances. Thats not the case, there is a bit more too it. oGs loses - Prime advances oGs loses but gets 2 wins - oGs advances oGs wins - oGs advances So really they just need two wins, if they loose 4-2 to F.U. they make it. oGs still has a game and therefore control of its own future.

Only wins count for considering who ranks higher? I thought it was win/loss ratio It is not based on win/lost ratio. Its a priority order, from liquipedia: Ranking will be decided using the following factors in order: Number of wins > Number of set losses > (if two teams have the same number of wins and set losses, the winner of their head-to-head match will receive a higher ranking) > Number of warnings received So if oGs wins only 1 game they would tie Prime but will not advance due to more looses. Prime advances. I forgot that bit :z

You're wrong it doesn't matter how many maps oGs wins if they lose the overall match because Prime will have a better map score. It's like your quoted person says: oGs wins >> oGs advances oGs loses>> Prime advances
