Some more info on ongoing deveopment. This is about the problen with active skill swapping: Daxxarri: We're currently testing a few different solutions, but I don't have anything specific to report on that front just yet. We're okay with players changing their builds while they're out adventuring, but we're not comfortable with players running around with their skill pane open swapping skills during combat. We'd also rather not have a system which forces players to return to town. We’ve tried it, and it feels really bad. Of course, worse comes to worse and if our attempts to curb use in combat fail, it could very well be what we have to resort to. Am I the only one who would've expected fundamental stuff like this to be nailed down before the Beta? I was expecting bug solving and number tweaking. Don't tell me they couldn't predict that people would run around with their skill window open. People will do EVRYTHING to get a perfect build. Same thing happened with charms in D2, people sacrificed their entire inventory for those things. EDIT: Bashiok: We're trying to release the game and feature creep is the enemy At least they're trying

Posted by Gràverobber Simple solution - Add a cast time Daxxarri: That's one of the options on the table currently. Good guess Zelniq I wouldn't mind going to town every time, but as they implemented the cube and cauldron exactly to limit trips to town, I really doubt they'd implement that. So time delay seems most likely at this point.

The guy was copying David Thorne, http://www.27bslash6.com/overdue.html But had very poor sentence construction. Was a good attempt to do what David did, but it wasnt really done correctly and I really couldn't get any humor out of it. The way he worded it, he just kind of looked like a dick --- "I want my spider picture back then" was pretty demanding. Atleast David Throne was quite polite, and that's where the majority of the humor was. No need to be an arse to Blizzard customer support.

D3 looks grimmer and grittier than D2 in my opinion. Slightly more colours only enhance dark atmosphere.

Ya it definately looks better than D2, darker and so much more detailed. I can't believe that some D2 fanboys are still whining when frankly D2 didn't even look that good and wasn't that dark

I can't understand how anyone could look back and d2 and not get an eyesore from watching giant pixels of light flux around the screen. D3 looking really nice.

I still enjoyed the game but the graphics weren't great for the time. Well it's around the same thing for D3, the graphics are not top quality either but they are certainly far better than D2 (animation, dynamics, fluidity etc).

I'm on the fence about the change. I regularly had 8 people in a server from school, we still all talk and play games together etc and i'm sure we will have more than 4 people in ventrilo, wanting to play Diablo 3 together every day for weeks after release. With that said, 8 player servers were not really focused on the individual. It allowed too much leeway as far as "riding co tails" was concerned and the change in difficulty was not too signifigant, as you still usually only had a couple of the 8 doing all the work, or you had people AFK, etc etc.
