Have to agree with this 100%.

There will be Beta in EU , and its confirmed , but all beta testers will play on NA SERWERS , and its confirmed also. Its wrong translate imo , or Rob told abouth serwer that will hold beta.

"Are they mad SC2 didn't sell in Korea?" "SC2 looked bad and average, and D3 look average too..." "Blizzard expected too much out of Koreans, everyone played and loved starcraft: Broodwar but look what happend to SC2 sales" "Look at Mike Morhaim, obviously he looks very mad at the koreans" "If they can't stop Starcraft 2 Maphack, there is going to be D3 bot?" "It's their loss if they don't release, we are going to be have their majority of sales" P.S - Also this confirms no invitation will be sent to EU This seems like an appropriate ''u mad?'' moment. I don't know much about Blizzard in Korea but not having access to a Beta (and a very small one at that) doesnt seem like justification to start bashing SC2 and the company that made it. Diablo 3 will still be released in Korea so what's the big deal?

I debated a little before deciding if I wanted to share my 2 cents on this, but some of the comments Endymion is makeing here seem too illogical for me so I kinda have to weigh in. First I'll get the OT stuff out of the way. Your views on Pot make little sense (don't other drugs, legal ones, make people act stupid too?) and seem to be coming from some personal vendetta or something. The discussion is out of place here so I wont elaborate, but if you care too I'd love to have a discussion/argument about it. Ok back on topic, I've been seeing many people give the opinion that the RMAH will somehow ruin D3 and I just don't see it happening. Ok sure, "buying power" in games is a legitimate concern and no one likes to have their time and effort into a game basically come with a dollar tag that allows others to jump to the same point just by throwing money at the Devs. I get it. Still I think the notion of Blizz implementing this is pure genius by them, allow me to explain. Let me start by pointing out that "buying power" is pretty much exactly what money is for. Think about it. You go to work, spend X amount of time and effort at your job and get compensated Y dollars for it. You then go spend your money on things you want/need that OTHERS have spent time and effort on that you simply aren't capable of or don't have the freedom to do (your time/effort goes to your job). Basically money is what allows you to trade your time/effort for the products of other peoples time/effort. This is a bit of an oversimplification, but the idea is there. So in gaming, is it any surprise that some people simply DONT have the time to put into a game to reach the top end? Then doesn't it make sense that these people would be willing to spend their hard earned money to buy that "power"? Thus 3rd party sites are born that allow those people the opportunity, pretty similar to a blackmarket. Now the real issue here becomes the effect of balance off this blackmarket. Are the people who just spend money to "buy power" suddenly too powerful compared to those that spent their time getting to the same point. The answer to that is what is really of concern imo, and this should be the driving question for developers who consider such things. If people can just buy enough stuff to make them godly then the rest of your players wont want to play anymore because of the inequality, but what if buying stuff only makes you about as good as those who just spend time on the game? Is that such a bad game state to be in? Some people send time, others spend money and now both are at the same level of gameplay. Clearly the onus is on the developers here to balance their game with this situation in mind (this is why most micro-transactions tend to be visual changes rather than balance changes). Now for D3 I think it is important to note (as many who criticize the RMAH seem to forget) that you will not be able to use the RMAH on Hardcore difficulty. Which is where the majority of the non-casual playerbase will be in. So now you basically have the option if you want to play with the option of using the RMAH or without (and without anyone else you encounter being able to use it as well). Of course, this may be where 3rd party sites come in again but hopefully with the RMAH the 3rd party sites will have less incentive to jump in (probably not the case). Keep in mind that regardless of the existence or non-existence of the RMAH, "buying power" would still be available. Look at D2, look at WoW, in both it is against Blizzard's intention for these things to happen, but they do (because it makes sense economically, as I explained above). Blizzard realized this, and said "Well... hell. It's gunna happen anyways lets try and do it right through our own system." Now the notion of buying power is available in game and allows for a more stable market. It benefits those who wish to sell as well as those who wish to buy. It helps everybody as there will be much less spam to buy gold/items (well, from 3rd parties at least ^.^). And if your one of those people who just abhors the idea of some rich kid just buying that crazy ass sword it took you weeks to farm then get off your highhorse and play HC. So... with all that in mind, can someone still give me a decent reason as to why the RMAH is a terrible thing? Edit: I guess all of this is a little OT for this thread, but since the OP is a little mis-informed and most of the reactions are ... a little lacking of substance? I felt fine ranting about RMAH ^.^

Most people who are going to play D3 24/7 will want to make some money on the RMAH. Thus, if they get the first legendary godly drop on inferno they will want to sell if for 100$ not 1000000k game gold. I am a fan of D2 hardcore but I don't think I'll even touch it in D3. Only a few month after release, it's going to be a farm fest in inferno. Some people will have goldy drops/craft and if by any chance it happens to you, you will want to make good (it's relative) money based on the luck that you just had. HC only provide in-game recognition which alot of people don't really care about

The players that play only for hardcore are a small of the playerbase. As for in game recognition I agree, most players dont care, especially in a game like D3 compared to say a mmo where e-fame has a more to offer.

You got reactions from PlayXP... Here were the reactions I found on Nate (A much more general crowd site with varying age group and 2nd biggest portal..) -D3 won't be released ever if beta was done in Korea... because Koreans will find countless bugs after bugs -Female Highschoolers should thank blizzard... (Just like for D2 messed up a lot of male korean students, having a lot of students to pretty much give up on school) -Pretty much excitement over D3 news, they don't seem to care that much about Beta anyway..
