Yeah he 3-0ed JD in a Starleague, but seriously, that final did probably go down in history as the final with the most imbalanced maps ever: Colloseum 60% TvZ, Othello 68% and Tiamat with a friggin 100% TvZ. Lol.
But hey, if Zergbong can become a leading figure in SC2, ForGG certainly can do so as well.
Yeah, but there is no one currently playing SC2 who could 3-0 Jaedong even if they played every game on Tiamat.

ForGG isn't going to instantly roll over MVP and NesTea. Unless I'm reading something wrong, ForGG only just now joined a team and has only been laddering with no tournament experience. Top 20 GM Korea is insanely impressive, but Koreans like to save their best strategies for tournaments. Since ForGG's so timing oriented it will take him a while to learn the brutal timings people use in GSL games, but as a BW player he's shown he can put in a lot of dedication and practice. That takes time though, he's not going to win a GSL right away.

I don't really expect much out of him to be honest...
But I will certainly be watching.

He's arguably the most in-form BW player to switch, so I certainly hope he can do well.

(Seriously though, I am sure ForGG will do great...but dang the way people act like BW converts are just going to lay waste to the SC2 scene can be annoying, especially when it has yet to come to fruition. Albeit not with a pro that is as close to his prime as ForGG is. He is probably the first real test to see how well the logic holds up that BW pro = automatic SC2 baller. It will be interesting to watch either way, and I wish him the absolute best and much success). MVP, Nestea, MC, the players who have dominated GSL, they weren't BW pros, right? None of them were top BW pros, they were all B-teamers and practice partners. Name one A-teamer who has switched and lived up to the hype. Name one A-teamer who has switched over to begin with... I can't think of any. I mean, technically MVP was an A-teamer, but that's because his team had historically bad Terrans. Uhhh.MVP, Nada, July..Boxer at times?? Come on now Well MVP I already mentioned. He was an A-teamer but that's because his team had awful terrans. He was probably one of the weakest A-teamkers in all of BW (Artosis even said in a SotG, a long time ago that he would stop watching when MVP played because he was so terrible). NaDa, July and Boxer where not A-teamers in 2010.
you forgot the part where artosis said fOrGG was the most undeserving MSL winner.

Don't trust Artorsis's hype. Never. It's just a part of his job to make the game more exciting.

This since fOrGG's run was pretty damn impressive even though he kind of fell off after that.

Artosis is wrong on every level. Anyone that beats Flash and Jaedong deserves to win

That's great. Not one of the most consistent players out there, but certainly top player.
I'd say Nada, ForGG, July and Boxer at the time when SC2 came out.

Any idea when his first televised games will be? I'd assume it'd be something like Code A in November?

Casy also never won an MSL blabla nitpicking lol
On topic, anyone who beat 2008 Jaedong 3-0 is good enough to do well in SC2 imo.

lol at ForGG being undeserving... did Artosis really say that? :/.

Man, it depresses me that ForGG's basically gone down the drain as a "timing attack only" guy. Especially since he was once considered an incredible macro-player. If you watch his games, he gets off some insane amount of units you'd never expect from just looking at #of his bases. He was also a very good TvT player, which require a lot of game sense. He lacks a bit in micro compared to other top progamers, but that would be very much lessened in SC2.
ForGG should succeed if only because he had a very deep understanding of BW that can easily transfer to SC2. Basically at any given time if you think a player should have X units, ForGG will somehow make X+10 units. Given the nerfed defender's advantage in SC2, this can be very powerful.
