I'm in awe of how few actions he takes. Every single one is precise and specific. He will control his army and then switch back to base, research 2 upgrades, upgrade a CC into an OC, have an SCV build 2 supply depots and then immediately go to his army again in less than 4 seconds. While he's on his army he'll build out of his barracks, because he doesn't need to be watching his main to control army production. So efficient! It's like watching a zen master play SC2.

It boils down to how well Polt prepares for the match, as he is one of the best at planning mindgames and counters ahead of time. The problem is ForGG doesn't have that many recorded games.

I just really like marine/tank play from both players ^^ especially when polt does it :D

Leenock simply does not die to hellions.

It should be a fun match, since they're both timing-based players. It's not too often we get to see two players jostle for control over the tempo of the game in a TvT. TvTs are usually about one player giving up control willingly to turtle like mad or both turtling and then mucking around with positioning and tactics to gain an advantage. I expect a lot of skirmishing during the series. (Siggghhh, still sad we never got to see MKP vs. Polt at Orlando.)

Definitely the most underrated Terran out there... I've caught his stream and I'm amazed at how smooth and controlled his play is.

He's in the up and down matches or not? He's in Up and Downs. Has to get top two out of five players in his group to advance. Luckily the players he'll face won't be as good as Forgg. Anyways, Polt lost both games because he couldn't deal with banshees. First game, okay, he missed with the scan and didn't see it coming. Forgg had two great escapes with the banshees, but Polt was stubborn and wouldn't build any turrets until he suicided like 20 marines and let half his SCV's die. Second game looked good. He stopped the natural expansion. He got his natural up faster, stopped the first banshee with a turret and cleaned up the tank/marine army on the low ground. It was all good until a few more banshees came, Polt stopped making turrets, let a banshee a-move kill almost his entire base and then freaked out, did a doom drop with all his marines, and did great damage, but had nothing left when the final push came. If he deals with the banshees, the games go on longer. Does he win? Who knows, probably the second one due to the faster expansion, but he failed when it came to the multitask with the banshee attacks. Polt is at his best when he can focus on one selected group, micro around that and storm forward. He let the barrage of air units destroy him. ForGG is easily top Code S class level, so he shouldn't feel too bad, but he needs to deal with that kind of harass better. Most players (probably any terran except MVP) could do what Forgg did to him, but Polt needs to stop getting behind early and fighting up a gigantic hill. If he just builds more than a single turret at both bases in game two, he probably stops the entire banshee attack by ForGG. It's frustrating see Polt, who can play so amazingly on the ladder and in the past in GSL, play so below his skill level in an important match. JUST BUILD TURRETS, MAN. THEY'RE GOOD AND NOT VERY EXPENSIVE.

Most players (probably any terran except MVP) could do what Forgg did to him, but Polt needs to stop getting behind early and fighting up a gigantic hill. I think the main problem is that he wasn't prepared due to the lack of information about forGG. He was greedy on the turrets (1/mineral line) and that cost him the game, a snd turret at his main would have save 10+ scv in the second game, because forGG wasn't microing at all this banshee. Multitasking is way easier if you're the aggressor, Polt tasted his own medicine. Anyway in the up and down if he plays at his stream level I think it'll be ok. I need to play a tvt right now, but bomber is playing T_T /e lurking was nice, posting is better, sign me in
