Got mine Tuesday! Had some time to play last night. Very cool sound effects, fun game in general, pathing sucks like other Diablo games.
Disappointed that the beta is so short, but, I'm happy to at least be in.

No invites

Expecting to just not play the game at all at this point.

It's still closed beta, right? I got an invitation but I can't play with this connection of mine, using some free wireless from a coffee shop around the corner, bah! low signal so any sort of upload will crash the connection, and I'm sure it's torrent-style download like usual with blizzard.

Did you even read what i wrote ?
Blizzard themselves stated they sent out invites only when their infrastructure can support more players. Therefore if they dont sent out alot of them it only means they dont have their servers up and it DOESNT mean that they dont want more feedback from the players. That would be just stupid.
And again people are renting out accounts and have been since the very beginning. If a different person logs on to an account every 12-24 hours for the last month you think blizzard would notice ? They didnt. Wich means they dont give a fuck, in fact as i wrote earlier they actually appreciate the free feedback they get without spending money on new servers.

Never going "Open-Beta". But do keep this in mind; Blizzard still has to stress test Diablo III which means a lot of invites will be sent out. So there is hope!

My brother got an invite 3 weeks ago, I raped through the beta in a few days, haven't touched it since. Look at my email yesterday, got the invite on my main account. sigh...

Well, you can turn off the p2p in the download option in every blizz downloader (also d3), and instead just dl it from the blizz servers. You won't have any upload. And the DL is actually faster.

So I have a question for everyone, like me, who has recently gotten beta access. Have you been able to play much? I got a good chunk co gaming in the very first day but since then there servers have been down or full. I literally get 1 of about 4 or 5 different errors every time I log in. I always check the forums to see what's up, and there usually talk of devs tinkering with stuff, servers being down for maintainence or the servers being full. Just wondering how many others are experiencing this. And if you are able to get on, at what times? Because I usually only get the chance at the end of each day. Just wondering if its fine during non-peak hours or something,

Just wondering if its fine during non-peak hours or something, ya its been like that pretty bad for the past few days, its beta blue post have been saying that they are testing and fixing stuff. I mainly get the server down error as i seem to be rather unlucky wanting to play when they have it completely down. Besides that it seems a lot of errors through the log in system is being worked out currently as these new waves of invites have seem to be targeted at testing server load.
keep an eye out on the beta forums and blue post/tweets its the best you can do in a beta. That and just keeping in mind its all about them fixing stuff now so in release its like butter. beta is a gift/a job so keep a open mind on service.

Yeah, I'm not mad about it or anything. This is the point of the beta. Just wanted to see if there was a better time to try to get in and play or if it is GG no RE kTHXbai all day erry day.

Yeah, I did. But with my 0,1-0,5mb/s connection, it's rather stuttery to play to say the least.
Not recommended, should get a stable connection :')
Can play tf2 and sc2 fine though, sure there's some delay but no spikes.

I'd take my laptop down to the coffeeshop, and have a nice cuppa joe, get a muffin and flirt with the waitresses while waiting for d3 to download.

i finished the beta in 2 sittings, but took 3 attempts. the first attempt connected fine and that was around 6pm NZ time, second attempt didnt connect and that was 12pm NZ time. 3rd attempt connected fine and that was just now. I've also got a question: are servers split up like Starcraft 2 or are they all connected together?
